DecisionPoint seeks an E-EFMP DevSecOps Engineer to support secure software delivery, automated pipelines, and environment configuration within a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role maintains CI/CD pipelines, security scanning automation, deployment processes, and version control workflows for cloud-hosted and CMS-integrated applications. 

The E-EFMP DevSecOps Engineer works closely with engineers, developers, cybersecurity teams, and system administrators to ensure secure, reliable, and repeatable deployments across all environments. 

This position is fully remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities

The E-EFMP DevSecOps Engineer will: 

  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and code integration workflows. 
  • Implement and maintain security scanning, SAST/DAST tooling, and dependency checks. 
  • Manage CMS and application environment configurations across DEV, TEST, STAGE, and PROD. 
  • Maintain version control repositories, branching standards, and merge patterns. 
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure secure coding, build reliability, and release readiness. 
  • Support automated infrastructure provisioning using cloud-native tools and IaC frameworks. 
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, build issues, configuration errors, and deployment blockers. 
  • Optimize pipeline performance, deployment speed, and automation reliability. 
  • Document pipeline processes, configuration standards, and environment setup procedures. 
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, and release preparation. 
Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation. 


Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, IT Engineering, or a related field. 


Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, cloud engineering, or software automation roles. 
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, code integration, and deployment automation. 
  • Experience implementing security scanning tools and secure DevSecOps practices. 
  • Experience configuring and managing version control systems (Git-based). 
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in cloud or hybrid environments. 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. 
  • Understanding of SAST/DAST tools, dependency scanning, and security automation. 
  • Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. 
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Knowledge of secure configuration practices within DoD or federal environments. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with AWS certifications or AWS-specific automation. 
  • Experience supporting CMS environments in a DevSecOps context. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools integrated with pipelines. 

Certifications 

Required: 

  • CompTIA Security+ 

Preferred: 

  • AWS cloud certifications 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation 
  • DevOps or DevSecOps certifications 

Skills 

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across build and deployment pipelines. 
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, and cybersecurity teams. 
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to secure engineering practices. 
  • Ability to manage multiple deployments and configuration tasks in a fast-paced mission environment.
