ThomasNet is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Director/Director, Yield Management to lead our yield management and ad operations functions. This pivotal role will drive revenue optimization and operational excellence, specifically focusing on the deployment and management of our ad server (Kevel). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ad serving systems, programmatic advertising, and team leadership, ensuring seamless advertising activation and maximizing platform-driven revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Ad Tech Management:
    • Spearhead the strategic deployment and optimization of our ad tech stack, with a primary focus on the Kevel ad server, ensuring optimal performance and end-to-end functionality.
    • Collaborate with leadership to define, launch, and drive strategic ad tech initiatives that align with business objectives and revenue growth.
  • Yield and Revenue Optimization:
    • Partner with internal teams to develop and implement streamlined operational setups that maximize yield and drive revenue growth.
    • Analyze ad campaign performance, provide data-driven optimization recommendations to client services, and contribute to account growth and retention.
    • Implement and refine platform-driven revenue optimization strategies.
    • Measure and report on daily, weekly, and monthly revenue, proactively identifying and addressing issues to implement effective solutions.
  • Ad Operations Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the ad operations team, including managing staff augmentation resources, to ensure high performance and operational efficiency.
    • Establish and maintain efficient ticket management processes for campaign activations and troubleshooting.
    • Oversee daily QA processes and ensure timely resolution of campaign issues.
    • Optimize, enhance, and document ad operations processes to maximize team efficiency.
    • Manage and resolve technical escalations across buying platforms.
  • Ad Server Expertise:
    • Maintain expert level knowledge of the Kevel ad server, and its place in the greater ad tech ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in monetization and ad operations, with a proven track record of leadership.
  • Extensive experience in a B2B marketplace environment.
  • Deep understanding of ad serving systems, programmatic advertising, and the ad tech ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing ad operations teams, including managing staff augmentation.
  • Proven ability to manage ticket assignments, campaign activations, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience in managing technical escalations across buying platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn data into action.
  • Experience with the Kevel ad server heavily desired.
