WHOOP is seeking a Director of Global Trade Marketing to lead our global trade marketing organization and accelerate the growth and impact of WHOOP across our rapidly expanding retail footprint. This leader will oversee trade marketing teams across global markets, establishing the strategy, operating rhythms, and cross-functional alignment required to deliver exceptional retail experiences and drive consumer demand around the world.

At the center of this role is the ability to build strong relationships and drive alignment across the organization. You will serve as a critical connector between our Trade Marketing teams and the broader WHOOP organization, partnering closely with Sales, Brand, Creative, Media, Product Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Analytics, and regional leadership to ensure our teams are positioned for success in market. You will develop a high-performing global team, bring clarity to priorities in a fast-moving environment, and translate the broader WHOOP brand and commercial strategy into locally relevant retail experiences that drive awareness, conversion, and sell-through.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire the global Trade Marketing organization, creating clear priorities, strong operating rhythms, and a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across WHOOP, aligning Brand, Creative, Media, Sales, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Product Marketing, Analytics, and regional stakeholders around retail priorities, launches, campaigns, and key commercial moments. Proactively identify dependencies, remove barriers, and ensure teams have the resources and organizational support needed to execute successfully.

  • Develop and own the global trade marketing strategy, translating company and brand priorities into scalable plans across retail media, digital and physical retail experiences, product launches, promotions, training, and key commercial moments.

  • Partner with Trade Marketing and Sales leaders across global markets to build strategic plans for priority retailers, ensuring marketing investment, creative, inventory, training, fixtures, and operational readiness come together to drive measurable awareness, traffic, conversion, and sell-through.

  • Establish a consistent global approach to planning, budgeting, measurement, and performance optimization, using retailer and consumer insights to prioritize investments, identify incremental growth opportunities, and continuously improve return on trade marketing spend.

  • Build scalable tools, processes, and ways of working that allow teams to move quickly while maintaining a consistent WHOOP experience globally, balancing global standards with the localization required to win with consumers and retail partners in individual markets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in global trade marketing, shopper marketing, retail marketing, omnichannel marketing, or a related discipline, including meaningful experience leading teams in a global or multi-market environment.

  • Proven people leader with experience building, developing, and empowering high-performing teams across global markets.

  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to bring together diverse cross-functional stakeholders, create alignment without relying solely on authority, and move complex initiatives forward.

  • Strong understanding of the global retail and omnichannel landscape, with experience developing marketing strategies that connect digital retail, physical retail, retail media, product launches, promotions, and brand activity.

  • Strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to translate company objectives into clear priorities for teams while remaining close enough to execution to identify barriers and unblock the organization.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience managing significant marketing budgets, evaluating performance, and using consumer, retailer, and sales insights to make investment and prioritization decisions.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, highly cross-functional environment where priorities evolve quickly and success requires both building scalable processes and solving immediate business challenges.

  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
