Staples is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition Operations & Compliance to lead our recruiting infrastructure, including operations, systems, compliance, and vendor management. This role ensures hiring practices are efficient, scalable, and compliant while delivering a strong experience for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead TA operations, compliance, reporting, and process improvement

  • Advise on TA Marketing strategies 

  • Translate hiring needs into scalable, efficient recruiting processes

  • Drive continuous improvement across workflows and service delivery

  • Oversee ATS, CRM, background screening, and AI-enabled recruiting tools

  • Lead system enhancements, integrations, and workflow improvements

  • Partner with systems to modernize recruiting infrastructure

  • Evaluate new technologies to support evolving hiring needs

  • Oversee background screening, audits, and escalations

  • Establish governance, controls, and documentation

  • Monitor regulatory changes and mitigate risk

  • Optimize vendor value and delivery

  • Coach and develop talent to strengthen team capability

  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

What You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of recruiting compliance and regulatory requirements

  • Experience leading system implementations or process redesigns

  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, and service delivery

  • Proven cross-functional partnership 

Experience

  • 10+ years in TA Operations, HR Operations, Recruiting Operations, HR Compliance, or similar experience

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience

  • Experience managing TA systems (ATS, CRM)

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive process improvements
