ABOUT THE ROLE:

Lead Talon. One's Strategic Accounts business across the Americas, driving our loyalty growth strategy within the Retail and QSR segments. This is a senior leadership role built for someone who thrives on long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and knows how to keep deals moving without losing momentum.

This is a remote role; we prefer candidates within commuting distance of Chicago, Boston or New York City, and you should be comfortable working Eastern or Central time zone hours.  This role also requires occasional domestic and international travel (<50% of the time).

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Reporting to the VP Sales, AMER, you'll lead our Strategic Accounts team, three Strategic Account Executives today with approved headcount to grow. This team drives loyalty growth across Retail and QSR, two of Talon. One's highest-priority segments, and your success here will be a direct catalyst for continued growth across the broader Adyen organization in North America.

ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:

  • Own and deliver on revenue targets for the Strategic Accounts book across AMER
  • Build & grow an existing team of Strategic Account Executives, recruiting and onboarding new talent
  • Coach a team of tenured reps through complex, multi-stakeholder deals, sharpening how they navigate decision-makers and sustain momentum over long cycles
  • Design repeatable processes for pipeline generation, forecasting, and deal management, including how the team uses modern sales tools and AI to work at scale
  • Generate net-new demand and pipeline within the Retail and QSR loyalty segments
  • Partner closely with marketing, customer success, and product to deepen relationships with our most strategic customers
  • Represent the voice of the market internally, shaping product and go-to-market priorities
  • Report consistently against revenue, pipeline, and forecast accuracy metrics

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 10+ years of enterprise SaaS go-to-market experience, including 5+ years directly managing sales teams
  • Proven track record of owning enterprise, strategic, or key account relationships, not just general enterprise sales
  • Deep expertise in at least one major sales methodology such as MEDDPICC, Sandler, Challenger, or Force Management, with working fluency across others
  • History of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes and building genuine, relationship-based trust with senior buyers
  • Proof that you can sustain velocity and momentum through long, consultative sales cycles
  • Ability to coach tenured, high-performing reps to a higher level, not just ramp new hires
  • Use of modern sales tools and AI to build processes that scale, rather than relying on individual effort

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • Choose from top-tier Medical, Dental, and Vision plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield MA, MetLife, VSP)
  • Build your savings with our 401(k) plan, including a 100% company match on your contributions up to 4%
  • We provide 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability coverage
  • Manage your own time off with our flexible PTO policy
  • $350 home office setup budget, a $50 monthly home office allowance
  • Freedom to work from abroad for up to 90 days worldwide!
  • WeWork On-Demand access for flexible workspace solutions
  • Mental health support with nilo.health
  • $1,200 annual learning budget

The estimated total compensation for this role is $375,000 - $425,000, though actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and location. The salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted at any time.

WHY YOU SHOULD WORK FOR US:

  • The right attitude: modern methods and a diverse, creative workspace with an open and international culture
  • Everyone for the product: Together we create a flexible, highly scalable product with state-of-the-art technologies. We can only succeed if everyone works as a team
  • Healthy Growth: Growing our company means growing everyone in the team. We love to share knowledge and learn
  • A great environment: Flexible and family-friendly environment, bright and easily accessible offices, modern software and hardware
  • High flexibility degree: Prefer to work early or late at night? Do you have to pick up your children from kindergarten? Do you prefer working abroad? We believe in results and motivated employees

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
