This is a highly visible, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings both analytical and storytelling strength, and wants to help shape the next generation of biotech companies from the ground up.

Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising & Capital Formation
  • Partner with Raven team members and portfolio leadership to support fundraising efforts, including early-stage venture rounds, structured financings, and strategic transactions.
  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with venture capital firms, corporate venture groups, and institutional investors.

  • Help shape and refine company-level investment narratives in alignment with platform and pipeline milestones.
  • Support financial modeling efforts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
  • Support strategic partnering efforts across the portfolio, including out-licensing, in-licensing, and R&D collaborations.
  • Prepare external-facing BD materials and participate in meetings with potential partners or pharma stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct competitive and commercial landscape analyses to inform BD strategy and support licensing decisions.
  • Track and manage BD funnel and diligence workstreams in collaboration with portfolio company leadership.
Indication Strategy & Corporate Planning
  • Collaborate with scientific founders and platform teams to develop early indication prioritization frameworks.
  • Conduct market, regulatory, and payer analysis to inform therapeutic area selection, sequencing, and positioning.
  • Shape early go-to-market plans in coordination with Raven investment partners, commercial advisors, and company leadership.
  • Support long-range planning efforts, including exit scenario modeling, valuation planning, and investor messaging development.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, strategy, venture capital, investment banking, or biotech business operations.
  • Ph.D., M.D., or other advanced degree in a life sciences field preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record supporting or leading venture financings and/or strategic transactions in the biotech sector.
  • Strong grasp of the early-stage biotech ecosystem, including venture and pharma dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with ability to craft and deliver compelling investor and partner narratives.
  • Highly collaborative, low-ego approach with ability to operate independently and execute under tight timelines.
  • Deep scientific curiosity and ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts across modalities and disease areas.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in a company creation environment (e.g., incubator, venture firm, or startup).
  • Familiarity with early clinical development decision points and how they inform BD/financing milestones.
  • Prior work across multiple therapeutic areas including immunology, oncology, neurology, or genetic medicines.
  • Comfort engaging with C-level executives, board members, and external partners.
  • Awesome But Not Required: Interest in and comfort with early stage scientific operations - contracting with and managing CROs and consultants, building and executing scientific plans, in collaboration with company leadership
