Role: We are seeking a seasoned, dynamic commercial employee with oncology experience to help with the continued commercialization of our lead assets, QINLOCK and ROMVIMZA. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, the Key Customer Engagement Lead will be responsible for developing and executing the key customer strategy across the Sarcoma Franchise. This role includes direct oversight of key customer initiatives which includedeveloping a strategy for tracking brand advocacy, leading advisory board strategy and execution, key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, Peer-to-Peer education strategy, and congress channel plans.  In addition, this highly experienced, dynamic, and strategic individual will contribute to key aspects of the Sarcoma Franchise brand strategy and tactical execution.  This is a critical commercial role that will be instrumental in Deciphera’s continued evolution as fully integrated, multi-product, commercial biopharma company.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a strong key customer engagement strategy in close partnership with the Sarcoma Brand Teams
  • Plan and execute key customer insight gathering initiatives, including advisory boards
  • Lead strategy, planning, and execution of KOL engagement initiatives
  • Lead peer-to-peer education strategy, planning, and execution (e.g., speaker bureau)
  • Develop a key congress strategy in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Budget management to ensure expenditures are aligned with the forecasts
  • Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholder groups on a routine basis, including Legal/Compliance, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Sales, Market Access, and others, and lead without authority
  • Interface with and present to senior leadership on performance and other business-critical information
  • Role involves business travel approximately 30% of time

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business-related and/or life sciences field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 4+ years of prior in-line oncology HCP Marketing and related experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 12+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in brand marketing, sales, managed markets, market research/analytics, strategic planning
  • Experience engaging and working with KOLs in an oncology or other relevant field
  • Oncology launch experience is highly desired
  • Operational knowledge of medical, regulatory, legal review process and healthcare compliance guidelines
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment, striving for excellence in everything we do

Additional Information

Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $193,000.00 - $266,000.00. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.​
