Our mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you’ll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you’ll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way.

Role Description

Givebutter is hiring a Director of Sales who can scale our PLG-assist Sales motion into a repeatable, outbound-powered machine—without sacrificing profitability or our culture of modern generosity. Reporting to the CRO, you’ll inherit a quota-beating team, a proven flow of warm, inbound leads, and be directly managing a team of four AEs, and a small, new SDR team with an SDR manager reporting into you.

We want to hear from people who…
  • See coaching as their super-power. You live in call reviews, role-plays, and ride-alongs, turning good reps into great ones

  • Know non-contractual revenue. You have experience selling usage-based products where revenue realization trails contract signature.

  • Full-stack salesperson. Operate comfortably across full-cycle AE and SDR motions—prospecting, discovery, closing, and renewal hand-offs

  • Love building outbound from zero to repeatable. Targeting, sequencing, and SDR collaboration are muscle memory for you

  • Are BFFs with RevOps. You proactively surface process gaps, and co-design solutions that make the entire funnel faster and cleaner.

  • Collaborate instinctively with Customer Success. Expansion plays, renewal tiers, and joint account planning are baked into how you sell.

  • Guard deal velocity. Identify slippage, stage creep, or shaky qualification and implement fixes that stick

Responsibilities
  • Stand up a best-in-class outbound motion. Pinpoint ideal customers and orchestrate joint sales x marketing campaigns that surround customers with offers that convert

  • Codify the sales craft. Document, A/B test, and continuously refine discovery, qualification, objection-handling, and closing choreography

  • Guard profitability. Use RevOps and data analyst support to pressure-test funnels, segment, gauge ROI, and adjust team capacity

  • Level-up talent. Own hiring, onboarding, weekly 1:1s, and career paths that elevate every rep to top-quartile results through clear paths and coaching.

  • Design and run a structured Enablement Program. you’ll own enablement and build from scratch: tiered, milestone-based learning and development paths that move reps from onboarding to top-decile performance

  • Team up with Growth & Success. Convert product signals into high-context outreach, tighten hand-offs, and ensure promises sold are promises implemented.

Requirements
  • 7+ years leading high-velocity sales teams, including 2+ years building outbound or product-assisted-sales motions

  • Demonstrated ability to scale a team 2-3× while maintaining or improving profitability

  • Mastery of HubSpot, Gong, and modern sales-engagement stacks

  • Proven hiring bar: you’ve attracted, coached up, retained, and promoted top-decile talent in competitive markets.

  • Fluency in discovery frameworks that make non-contractual revenue commitments dependable.

  • Authentic passion for empowering nonprofits and aligning revenue goals with social good.
