Lead and develop a team of Account Executives to drive revenue growth in enterprise SaaS, collaborating across functions and managing performance metrics.
xMatters, an Everbridge Company, is a leading provider of digital service availability and incident response solutions, and is seeking a Director of Sales to lead a regional team of high-performing Account Executives focused on driving revenue within our enterprise and mid-market customer base. This role is instrumental in helping organizations enhance operational resilience by expanding the adoption of the xMatters platform across complex, cross-functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and SRE.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor top sales talent, fostering a high-performance, customer-first culture.
- Establish and manage KPIs tied to pipeline generation, opportunity progression, and forecast accuracy to ensure predictable revenue growth.
- Drive a repeatable, insight-led sales process rooted in discovery, qualification, and value-based solution selling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Sales Engineering to remove roadblocks and accelerate deals.
- Develop and implement tools and strategies for performance tracking, deal coaching, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage Salesforce and other sales tools to track pipeline health, sales activities, and forecast accuracy.
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met throughout the pre and post-sale lifecycle.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of experience managing high-performing, quota-carrying SaaS sales teams (minimum 5 reps).
- Proven success growing revenue within existing accounts—ideally in a “land and expand” or customer expansion model.
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS platforms with multiple product lines and complex buyer ecosystems.
- Familiarity with selling into technical teams (e.g., IT Ops, DevOps, Engineering, SRE) and navigating enterprise procurement cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to scale teams and processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Strong business judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to assess opportunities and risks quickly.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working cross-functionally.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $118,000 - $140,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
