Spectrum is seeking a skilled director to oversee our Direct Sales Department, steering regional strategies that expand our customer base and achieve ambitious sales targets. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Coordinate the activities of the Direct Sales Department to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Develop and implement sales plans that support Spectrum's objectives for optimal market penetration
  • Guide Direct Sales Managers in creating effective customer and sales strategies
  • Communicate overall sales strategy and requirements to field personnel while monitoring and evaluating results
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and mentoring Direct Sales staff
  • Manage territory assignments for residential and MDU Relationship Executives
  • Handle personnel matters including performance appraisals, coaching and safety training
  • Provide input during budget preparation and contribute to broader marketing discussions

Working Conditions
  • Office environment with travel as required

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience

Experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • 10+ years of management experience

Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Knowledge of direct sales strategies
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to supervise and motivate others
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications
Experience
  • 3+ years of CATV experience
  • Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record and auto insurance meeting Spectrum standards

Skills
  • Knowledge of cable television products and services
