Primary Responsibilities:
You will be expected to take the helm and provide training and guidance on regulatory affairs and compliance throughout the business. Your challenge will be tracking and analyzing all new regulatory requirements pertaining to public sector and commercial lines of business. And you will be expected to prepare summaries of analysis that include, as appropriate, relevant legislative history, comparisons to existing or proposed legislation in other jurisdictions and detailed descriptions of the operational requirements and affected departments.

- Develop relationships with representatives of federal and state regulatory & enforcement agencies to ensure effective communication and cooperation
- Coordinate with various internal departments and committees to assure operational and procedural compliance with all state and federal regulations

- Triage complex compliance issues that are escalated by staff

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working in health care, managed care and/or health insurance
- 5+ years of experience in health care regulatory or legal environment
- 5+ years of experience supervising and leading a team
- 5+ years of project management experience, including experience simultaneously managing multiple projects
- 5+ years of experience with state, HIPPA and other federal privacy laws
- 3+ years of experience working with Federal or State Programs
- Experience providing strategic direction and guidance on regulatory and compliance issues
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and Medicaid managed plans
