The Director, Public Sector & Enterprise Programs will lead the design and delivery of complex, multi-project programs spanning NinjaOne's Commercial Enterprise and Federal portfolios. This role combines strategic framework building with hands-on program execution, establishing the foundation for a scalable program management function as the company continues to grow. You will build from the ground up, designing the tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms that bring consistency and predictability to how programs are managed across the organization. You will operate as a one-person program office, driving execution directly while creating the standards and frameworks that will later support scale. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a build-phase environment, comfortable balancing strategy and execution while leading day-to-day planning, risk management, and delivery tracking across multiple concurrent initiatives. Success in this position depends on your ability to operate independently, execute tactically, and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Strategic and Foundational Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cross-functional program management standards, tools, governance models, and reporting processes that drive consistency and visibility across Commercial and Federal initiatives
- Design and maintain program management playbooks for consistent execution across Commercial and Federal projects
- Establish scalable processes for program initiation, planning, risk management, reporting, and change control, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Create scalable tracking and reporting mechanisms for program performance, resource utilization, and on-time delivery
- Lead the future development and maturation of NinjaOne's Program Management Office (PMO) capability, including future team structure, staffing plans, and performance metrics
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and stakeholders providing insight into program health, risks, and strategic opportunities enabling informed decisions and cross-functional alignment
Program Delivery and Execution
- Manage large-scale, cross-functional programs composed of multiple interdependent projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Develop, maintain, and review Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across multiple initiatives, ensuring dependencies are clearly identified and managed
- Drive risk and issue management through proactive identification, mitigation planning, and escalation
- Facilitate regular program reviews and status updates, ensuring visibility of progress and accountability across teams
- Ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, particularly Federal engagements (e.g., data handling, reporting, and security standards)
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of program milestones and customer satisfaction
Leadership and Communication
- Operate as a hands-on program leader, driving execution directly while building the structure, tools, and processes that will mature into a future Program Management Office as the function expands
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure seamless program execution and alignment of objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors and customer stakeholders, providing strategic direction and clear communication of program status and dependencies
- Hold cross-functional and partner teams accountable through structured follow-up, transparent reporting, and consistent performance tracking
- Lead onboarding and alignment sessions for new programs, customers, and internal teams to establish expectations, processes, and delivery standards.
Operational and Administrative Responsibilities
- Schedule and lead recurring program cadence meetings (e.g., weekly project syncs, monthly executive reviews, quarterly steering committees)
- Oversee the development and maintenance of program documentation, including charters, dashboards, status reports, and after-action reviews
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, budget performance, and customer satisfaction
- Manage program-level financials, ensuring accurate forecasting, resource allocation, and cost control
- Drive continuous improvement by collecting feedback and evolving processes to enhance efficiency and program outcomes
- Additional duties as assigned
About You
- 10+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional programs at the enterprise level, ideally within a SaaS, technology, or services organization.
- Proven track record of building or scaling a Program Management Office (PMO) and implementing standardized tools, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of program and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid), with demonstrated ability to manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and large multi-workstream programs.
- Experienced in developing program charters, roadmaps, and performance dashboards that drive transparency and accountability across executive and delivery teams.
- Skilled in risk, issue, and change management, with a disciplined approach to mitigation planning, escalation, and decision tracking.
- Comfortable managing federal or compliance-driven programs, ensuring adherence to SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or FedRAMP standards.
- Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, resource planning, and cost control at the program level.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to brief executives, align cross-functional teams, and influence outcomes without authority.
- History of mentoring and developing high-performing program or project management teams.
- Proficient with modern program management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence, Power BI, or tableau).
- Operates with adaptability and urgency, excelling in fast-paced, high-growth environments
