Director, Product Management
Overview
The North America Consumer Acquisition & Engagement (CA&E) team provides differentiated solutions to help customers exceed their objectives, and drive profitable revenue while building brand preference.
This role will be responsible for owning the Mastercard Rewards product line for North America. The ideal candidate will have a strong Rewards background, a successful history in the Loyalty space, and have a background in technology. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for Rewards and lead enhancement/development initiatives for product improvement in the NAM region, working with cross-functional team members in the CA&E organization. The incumbent must be comfortable working with and presenting to customers and prospects, and have proficiency with Loyalty strategy/thought leadership to retain and obtain clients.
Role
Product Management
- Product Management of Mastercard Rewards (MRS) for North America
- Ensure Sales, Implementation, CIS, BizOps and other partners are adequately enabled to deliver against objectives
- Develop and deliver executive level presentations internal and external stakeholders
- Act as subject matter expert for all things Loyalty and Rewards
- Influence global stakeholders regarding regional platform requirements and enhancement priorities.
- Manage vendor contracts and relationships
- Represent Mastercard Rewards as a thought leader in client engagements, industry forums, and executive discussions.
Cross Functional Engagement
- The incumbent will work closely with Marketing Services, Dynamic Yield and other Services teams to capture synergies.
- Drive adoption of platform capabilities through client engagement, enablement, and commercialization efforts.
- Act as primary lead for regional Shared Services teams to ensure smooth deployment and servicing of the Rewards product line.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on loyalty platform strategy, rewards program design, customer engagement, and digital transformation opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional prioritization discussions balancing client needs, platform constraints, commercial objectives, and long-term technology strategy.
Strategy and Analytics
- Develop platform growth strategies that drive revenue expansion, client retention, operational efficiency, and increased product adoption.
- Define and monitor key business and product performance indicators.
- Leverage client insights, analytics, competitive intelligence, and industry trends to inform platform roadmap decisions.
- Build strategic business cases and investment proposals for platform enhancement opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, personalization, and advanced analytics to improve loyalty program performance and customer engagement.
- Collect and maintain industry competitive intelligence, including overviews of loyalty provider competitors, top industry programs and industry trends.
- Assist in providing content for RFP's and sales proposals.
Financial Management
- Manage and own the Rewards P&L for NAM
- Own annual forecast and product revenue waterfall
- Interface with Billing and Finance teams as needed
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of technical systems, their interfaces and their effective use.
- MRS experience preferred
- Database experience preferred
- Competency with SQL
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated effectiveness in using AI tools to problem solve
Education/Experience/Knowledge
- Bachelors degree required, Advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate to many audiences, from low level technical resources to internal and client executives. Strong presentation, relationship management and project management credentials are essential.
- Previous credit/debit/private label card marketing or related services experience preferred.
- Previous experience in Product Management, Loyalty Product Management experience preferred.
- Proven track record in cross company, collaborative teaming
- Knowledge and experience of loyalty and loyalty platforms required
- Project management, account management, and business building skillset, with a demonstrated record of success in all fields.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

O'Fallon, Missouri: $156,000 - $265,000 USD
Purchase, New York: $179,000 - $305,000 USD
