About Echo Base

Echo Base is a privately funded investment platform focused on special situations and strategic opportunities within the digital asset ecosystem. We acquire, finance, and build companies where our operational expertise and capital can unlock outsized value. Our team combines institutional investment discipline with crypto-native insight to identify and execute on complex opportunities across the industry’s most dynamic segments.

Role Overview

The Director of Product will lead the product organization across Echo Base and its portfolio of digital-asset businesses. This individual will be accountable for the strategic and operational execution of all product initiatives, driving measurable growth, revenue, and efficiency across the portfolio.

This is a commercially driven execution role, not a startup ideation position. The ideal candidate combines deep crypto industry expertise with exceptional operational discipline, stakeholder management, and project management rigor. The individual will coordinate directly between leadership stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure alignment, delivery, and monetization velocity under tight performance targets.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all product operations across Echo Base and its portfolio assets, establishing unified operating systems, delivery frameworks, and KPIs.
  • Serve as the primary interface between stakeholders and engineering teams, translating commercial objectives into actionable product execution plans.
  • Negotiate priorities and resources across competing stakeholder interests while maintaining alignment with financial and operational targets.
  • Drive product strategy with an explicit focus on monetization, scalability, and ROI.
  • Oversee disciplined project management across complex, multi-product portfolios to ensure all initiatives meet timeline, quality, and budget expectations.
  •  Develop and enforce an institutional product operations framework covering sprint cadence, prioritization, analytics, and performance review.
  • Partner with founders, GMs, and functional heads to define and execute roadmaps that directly impact growth and profitability.
  • Lead integration and product alignment for new portfolio acquisitions and investments.
  • Build and mentor a performance-oriented product team focused on measurable business outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum eight years of experience in product management, product operations, or program management within crypto, fintech, or exchange environments.
  •  Deep understanding of crypto market structure, trading platforms, wallets, custody, and DeFi infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to act as a bridge between commercial leadership and technical teams to align product development with strategic business objectives.
  •  Demonstrated track record of driving revenue-focused product roadmaps and delivering measurable commercial results.
  •  Exceptional stakeholder negotiation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  •  Strong project management expertise, able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with precision, clarity, and urgency.
  •  Highly analytical and data-driven, with experience building KPI dashboards and performance reports tied to financial outcomes.
  • Thrives under tight deadlines and high-performance expectations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or technical graduate degree preferred.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
