Spreetail is looking for a Director of Procurement, you will serve as the single accountable leader for ~$29M in annual addressable spend across our 8 fulfillment center locations. In this role, you will lead end-to-end operational sourcing strategies—including packaging, pallets, corrugate, business services, and facility supplies—while driving commercial negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and vendor accountability.

You will lead the on-site non-inventory hourly teams responsible for staging and replenishment, design robust inventory controls, and build cross-functional alignment across Finance, Operations, and carriers.

How you will achieve success:

  • Network Spend Ownership: Serve as the single accountable owner of ~$25M/year+ in addressable spend across all 8 FC buildings (~$10M pallets and corrugate, ~$10M+ business services,).

  • Strategic RFP Execution: Lead the Q1 2027 pallet RFP across primary partners (KAMPS, 48forty, and emerging alternatives) to secure pallets and corrugate at the lowest total net cost.

  • Carrier S&OP & Credit Recovery: Establish S&OP-driven pallet demand forecasts and operationalize pallet return, regrade, and credit recovery programs with major carrier partners (FedEx, Roadie).

  • On-Site Team Leadership & Kanban Design: Directly lead on-site non-inventory hourly associates across the network who receive, stage, and replenish materials; design and implement lean kanban staging to eliminate fulfillment downtime.

  • Vendor Consolidation & Services Procurement: Negotiate master service agreements, consolidate redundant vendors, enforce rigorous SLA performance across ~$17M in business services, and streamline standard operating ordering flows for facility supplies and maintenance buys.

  • Systems, Approvals & Governance: Own procurement systems and operational controls (vendor onboarding, invoice reconciliation, and approval routing workflows), delivering monthly savings scorecard KPIs to executive leadership.

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • Sourcing & Category Scale: 7+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience managing $25M+ in addressable spend within fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.

  • Packaging & Corrugate Expertise: Proven track record running competitive RFPs, negotiating complex commercial terms for pallets/corrugate, and executing closed-loop pallet return/regrade programs.

  • Contract & SLA Management: Demonstrated mastery in business services procurement, vendor rationalization, contract redlining, and ongoing SLA performance governance.

  • Demand Planning & S&OP Integration: Experience integrating procurement volume requirements directly into Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cadence to eliminate stockouts and forecast variance.

  • Multi-Site People Leadership: Hands-on leadership experience guiding, developing, and enabling distributed, on-site hourly teams across multiple operational facilities.

  • Procurement Tech Stack Acumen: Practical working knowledge of enterprise procure-to-pay tools and approval workflows (e.g., Medius), computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., Limble CMMS), and automated vendor setup/invoicing controls.
