Overview:

We are looking for a talented Pricing & Monetization Director to lead our pricing strategies and monetization efforts. This role requires a unique combination of deep analytical expertise, strategic insight, and operational hands-on execution to optimize pricing models, drive revenue growth, and enhance profitability. You will lead high-impact initiatives across pricing and packaging, monetization and deal support.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven, and customer-centric professional with a deep understanding of SaaS pricing strategies and market dynamics. You will leverage data analytics and market research to inform pricing decisions, unlocking short- and long-term revenue opportunities across our diverse product portfolio. Experience in conducting primary market research is essential, along with proficiency in data manipulation, visualization, and financial modeling. A proven track record of successfully leading pricing initiatives and driving revenue growth in the SaaS sector is needed.

This position reports to the VP of Product Operations and collaborates closely with leaders across the organization, including Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success. What you will do:

  • Lead the development and implementation of effective pricing and packaging strategies for Precisely’s products and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and responsiveness to market demand. Collaborate closely with Product Management to optimize monetization given product portfolio and roadmap.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analyses to support pricing and packaging decisions, continually optimizing monetization models to enhance revenue while maintaining simplicity.
  • Perform competitive analysis and conduct both quantitative and qualitative market research to identify pricing trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities, enabling adjustments and optimizations to pricing models.
  • Identify and execute on ways to simplify our pricing structure
  • Define and monitor KPIs and analytics related to pricing and monetization, delivering regular reporting and insights to senior management.
  • Maintain and develop the annual price increase program and pricing calculators to ensure effective execution and consistency in pricing strategies.
  • Develop and implement interactive dashboards in Tableau and Excel tools to inform pricing decisions and track performance metrics effectively.
  • Create compelling presentations for senior leadership, ensuring accuracy in data representation and providing actionable, insights-driven recommendations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within pricing workflows to enhance overall pricing governance and operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate the successful introduction of new products, from ideation to launch, while also experimenting with and simplifying existing constructs. Collaborate with Sales Enablement and pricing education.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance and Customer Support teams to support pricing negotiations and client contracts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

What we are looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or other quantitative field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in Pricing and Monetization in the Enterprise Software or Technology sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven success leading pricing for multi-product portfolios at scale with usage-based pricing. Management Consulting experience is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong hands-on analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis, strong knowledge of Tableau for data visualization, and expertise in PowerPoint for creating presentations. Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Market Research: Experience conducting primary and secondary market research to inform pricing decisions and strategy.
  • Team Management and Development: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in delivering clear and engaging presentations to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving and Intellectually curious: Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement effective solutions. Skilled at understanding complex business problems and scenarios; curious to find innovative solutions.
  • Results-Driven and Detail-Oriented: A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving business objectives and driving revenue growth. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in analysis and reporting.
  • Self-Starter and Agile: A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities. Willing / “can do” attitude and enthusiasm.
