YOUR ROLE
Bold Penguin is looking for leaders with presentation skills, excellent communication, and business development skills. Ideal candidates for this role will have prior experience in commercial insurance distribution, account management, strategic planning, and knowledge of digital insurance platforms. The candidate will have a history of enabling revenue growth for both internal and external stakeholders through solution selling, client leadership influence / management, and delivery for customers with complex needs. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with colleagues in Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations to develop strategies, partnerships, products, and new experiences for agency partners that meet the strategic objectives of Bold Penguin and our partners. The Director, Partnership and Solutions supports alignment between department objectives and overall business strategies while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Account Ownership and Solutions
? Responsible for the profit and loss assigned enterprise/strategic accounts
? Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within assigned accounts, as well as internal teams, fostering growth and expansion within existing accounts
? Help partners understand Bold Penguin's value proposition as a critical tool to achieve business objectives, as well as product roadmap and partnership opportunities
? Unlock expanded revenue opportunities through collaborative solutioning, experimentation, and partnering to develop bespoke solutions to meet key customer objectives
? Lead discovery and solution discussions
? Share the voice of the customer to influence new solutions, product functionality, and revenue opportunity for Bold Penguin, in collaboration with Product and Engineering
? Lead co-development of bespoke products and services, in partnership with customer, Product and Engineering
? Monitor and analyze partnership performance against key performance metrics, and provide regular updates to senior executives to influence decision-making and outcomes.
? Manage a high-performing team, assuring that they deliver the highest level of customer experience to partners, including responsiveness, quality of delivery, and service levels.
? Drive the implementation and execution of partnership initiatives of assigned accounts, including training, joint marketing campaigns, as well as scaling, adoption, and utilization.
? Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, and provide insights and recommendations to inform partnership strategies.
Leadership
? Support executive team in developing and executing departmental strategies and goals, inclusive of preparation of reports, presentations, and briefings for senior leadership.
? Manage and lead teams to ensure performance and productivity through clear objective setting, as well as support of their professional development.
? Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
? Reinforce Bold Penguin's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by building and maintaining a work environment that is inclusive and equitable
? Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
? Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
? Represent the organization in internal and external meetings as needed.

- 7+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably with commercial lines experience
- 5+ years of experience in relationship management, partnership development, business development, or related roles.
- Knowledge of digital insurance platforms and APIs; functional and technical credibility to sell complex SaaS solutions.
- Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop executive presentations from scratch and communicate directly with senior leadership.
- Proven track record of building and cultivating relationships with strategic external partners
- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and analytically, with strong problem-solving skills, to develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans
- Deep understanding of the industry landscape, including emerging trends and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity and develop scalable / repeatable go-to-market solutions across multiple teams and functional areas
- Prior experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced, evolving environment
- Prior experience managing direct reports and achieving project goals within time and budget constraints
- Travel may be required as needed up to several times a month to client's site and industry events
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
