At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

As the Director of Operations for New Content Experiences (NCX), you will be the operational architect behind the next era of Netflix entertainment. Operating in a high-impact 'start-up' environment within a global powerhouse, you will lead a multidisciplinary team tasked with bringing 0-to-1 experiences, including Live Events, Games, Podcasts, and emerging formats to life for millions of members. If you thrive on transforming abstract creative visions into scalable, flawless global launches, this is your opportunity to define the future of media consumption

You will lead a multifunctional team of  Lead Program Managers, Creative Operations Program Managers, Launch Managers, and Launch Coordinators. Program Managers oversee the end-to-end program management required to stand up new experiences with our cross-functional partners in Content, Product Management, and Engineering teams, and to build and launch them on Netflix. Their work includes managing 0-1 new content roll-outs, overseeing the execution of new functionality and capabilities, facilitating the creation of product envelopes with our engineering partners, and ingesting and testing support of new content experiences as they come to the Netflix service. Launch Managers' seamless launches of all content on our Product, the implementation and execution of defined title merchandising strategies, operational solutions for bespoke positioning of our titles, and strong partnerships across our partners in the Content, Product, and Marketing teams. The Creative Operations team centralizes end-to-end gathering, distribution, and delivery of artifacts, context, and assets, and acts as the driving force in upholding creative production workflows within Product Merchandising.

As the leader of this multifunctional team, you should be comfortable in “start-up” mode and building high-profile 0–1 teams in new, emerging areas for the business. You will interface daily with executive leadership and cross-functional experts across Content, Game Studio, Content Ingestion & Distribution, Product Management, Engineering, Tech Operations, and Local Product Merchandising, vision brought to life by the Experience Design team and the real-life content deals that arrive on our doorstep at a rapid pace.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Scale the Future: Architect and oversee clear workflows and documentation (playbooks, onboarding materials, presentations)  to rapidly and consistently “graduate” new content experiences to be operationalized by our regional product merchandising teams. Continue to set the standard for excellence, pioneering innovations for New Content Experiences before rolling them out globally.

  •  Constantly work to scale and simplify the intake, operationalization, and contingency planning processes for new content experiences. Continuously pressure test and streamline workflows to ensure optimized speed to launch, risk management, and opportunities for enhancements.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the critical bridge between Content, Engineering, Product Management, and Experience Design, translating complex content deals into clear operational workflows and technical roadmaps.

  • Drive Launch Excellence: Oversee risk management, SLAs, and contingency planning to ensure flawless execution during high-stakes, time-sensitive critical launch windows (e.g., Live streams).

  • Develop Top Talent: Mentor and grow a world-class multidisciplinary team of Program Managers, Launch Managers, and Creative Operations specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, speed, and continuous improvement.

  • Hands-on Execution & Global Scaling: Act as a "player-coach" who is willing to personally drive highly ambiguous, high-profile launches, while simultaneously building the playbooks necessary to "graduate" these workflows to regional merchandising teams worldwide. Ensure constant strategic alignment by providing synthesized, high-level visibility to executive leadership.

  • Maintain strong partnerships with Regional Product merchandising leaders to help tether local content experience to the evolution of the product and product leaders.

Qualifications

  • Extensive leadership experience building and managing multidisciplinary operations or program management teams, ideally within complex product, media, or tech environments.

  • Proven track record of operating in '0-to-1' spaces, bringing structure, alignment, and scale to highly ambiguous, fast-paced initiatives.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex operational realities into clear memos and presentations for C-level leadership. Proven ability to influence matrixed cross-functional partners (Engineering, Content, Product) without direct authority.

  • A data-informed operational mindset; comfortable using both quantitative and qualitative methods to identify workflow bottlenecks and pioneer new solutions.

  • An insatiable curiosity for the evolving media landscape (Live, Games, emerging formats), coupled with a deep empathy for diverse global regions to ensure workflows scale seamlessly across international markets.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
