Director of New Venture Strategy

As Head of New Venture Strategy, you will help to lead our newly formed New Venture Lab, designed to conceptualize and launch successful, high-growth businesses. Through rigorous customer discovery and market exploration, you and your team will uncover needs that align with our capabilities. Your role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution—translating these insights into viable business opportunities, building the processes to evaluate and develop them, and guiding teams through the venture development journey. You'll establish both the foundation and the flywheel for how we create and grow new businesses.

In your first year, you will establish the operational backbone of our New Venture Lab, drawing from industry best practices to create a robust framework for venture development. You'll build a focused team to support you in evaluating and advancing new business opportunities. You'll source ideas from across the organization and beyond, carefully evaluating each for its potential to create significant new value. Most importantly, you'll guide our first venture through this newly established process, demonstrating the power of combining entrepreneurial thinking with corporate resources.

You'll be a key champion for innovation within our organization. You'll build strong relationships across business units, present to senior leadership, and create buy-in for your ventures through clear communication and demonstrated results. As you evaluate potential ventures, you'll balance creative exploration with rigorous analysis, knowing when to advance promising ideas and when to redirect efforts. Your success will be measured not just by the ventures you advance but by the sustainable innovation engine you create.

We would love to have you on our team if:

  • You've spent 10+ years building and scaling new businesses, whether as a founder, corporate innovator, or venture studio leader
  • You have proven methodology for evaluating early-stage opportunities and turning them into successful businesses
  • You've successfully built and led teams through uncertainty, maintaining momentum while navigating complex stakeholder environments
  • You combine sharp business acumen with deep curiosity—always exploring new possibilities while staying grounded in market realities
  • You're equally comfortable whiteboarding new ideas with founding teams and presenting business cases to senior executives
  • You have experience managing significant investment decisions, ideally at the $1M+ level per venture
  • You bring both well-tested frameworks and adaptable thinking to venture development
  • You're energized by the challenge of building not just individual businesses but a repeatable system for venture success
  • You have experience coaching teams through the venture-building process, helping them navigate from initial concept to market validation

While an MBA or extensive venture-building experience is preferred, we're most interested in your track record of turning ambitious ideas into real businesses.
