An exciting career opportunity is available in CLA. We are currently recruiting for a Director in our National Assurance Technical Group (NATG) focused on serving our nonprofit sector clients. This role supports our Assurance practice by ensuring quality control and consistent methodologies across Assurance engagements, as well as acting as a technical resource for engagement teams. As a director, you will build and foster lasting relationships and assure continued close personal attention to client needs.
How you'll create opportunities in this role:
As a member of the NATG team, you will interact with others across all levels of the Firm and on occasion with clients and must have the ability to manage multiple projects. The Candidate will report to the Managing Principal of National Assurance. This individual has the opportunity to be involved in a variety of responsibilities/functions that support the Assurance practice including:
• Quality Control: Conduct quality control reviews of assurance engagements to ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and CLA policies and procedures.
• Technical Resource: Serve as a technical resource for complex audit and accounting subject matter for engagement teams, including direct consultations with clients.
• Relationship Building: Build and foster lasting relationships within our nonprofit sector and engagement teams.
• Skill Development: Engage in opportunities to develop new skills and experiences related to our audit quality and assurance transformation initiatives.
What you will need:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certifications/Licenses:
- CPA certification required
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a background and understanding of the operations and standards specific to the variety of nonprofit organizations and clients we serve. In addition, the candidate will have demonstrated a deep knowledge of relevant professional standards, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- 6+ years of experience in a public accounting environment or equivalent, including recent experience managing and delivering assurance engagements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to collaborate with others.
- Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on organization and detail.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to engagement teams and clients.
- Proficiency in using various assurance resources and research products effectively.
The Minnesota Pay Range is 109,558.00 - 136,948.00 - 164,337.00 USD Annual
The Massachusetts Pay Range is 122,200.00 - 152,750.00 - 183,300.00 USD Annual
