We are seeking a Director, Marketing Strategy & Analytics to join our Marketing team in Boston, MA (hybrid), reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. Marketing is in the middle of an AI transformation, and this leader will serve as the CMO's strategic and analytical partner across Corporate Marketing, Customer Marketing, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing.

The ideal candidate is a leader who can take an ambiguous question with no existing infrastructure and turn it into a working model and a clear recommendation, influencing senior leaders and cross-functional peers without relying on formal authority. This role is designed to grow: as the function scales, so will the scope, team, and level.

Success Profile:

This role is anchored in our company's leadership competencies. These competencies reflect the mindsets and behaviors that define success in this role. Below is how each competency translates into meaningful impact and outcomes for this position.

Results-Driven

  • Build financial and marketing models from scratch, such as budget allocation, funnel and pipeline, ROI, forecasting, and scenario planning, and turn them into decisions leaders can act on.
  • Measure what's working by building the models and scorecards that show whether AI is improving speed, cost, quality, and growth.
  • Run the marketing leadership cadence by owning planning cycles, QBRs, priorities, metrics reviews, and follow-through, keeping the leadership team organized and accountable.

Customer-Centric

  • Partner with the CMO and marketing leaders to help decide where to invest, what to build, and how to measure results.
  • Scope and direct the work for our marketing teams by turning big ideas into clear priorities, owners, and success metrics, and keeping momentum across teams.
  • Lead through influence by aligning cross-functional peers and senior leaders without relying on formal authority.

Innovative

  • Act as the cross-functional partner to every marketing team, working with Corporate Marketing, Customer Marketing, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing to find where AI can improve campaigns, creative, web, and day-to-day work, and helping each team scope, prioritize, and adopt it.
  • Change how our teams work by shaping new ways of working across marketing, including how work gets planned, handed off, reviewed, and shipped, and bringing teams along so the changes stick.
  • Set the standards by defining what gets automated, what stays human, and how we keep quality high.

Strategic

  • Structure ambiguous problems by framing the question, defining the approach, and driving to an answer, on your own or with partners in Sales, Finance, Product, and RevOps.
  • Review our tech stack by leading an open review of marketing's tools and data flows, and recommending what to keep, replace, consolidate, or build so the whole system is AI forward.
  • Be the CMO's data thought partner by bringing insight, not just reporting: pressure-test assumptions, surface trade-offs, and prepare the CMO for executive and board conversations.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in strategy, FP&A, consulting, marketing ops/analytics, or growth; an MBA or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of revenue drivers, unit economics, go-to-market, and how marketing drives growth
  • Hands-on experience using AI to do real work, such as building models, automating workflows, or scoping AI-enabled systems, and the ability to determine when AI is, and isn't, the right tool
  • Proficiency building financial and marketing models in spreadsheets, with experience in financial modeling, marketing modeling, or both, and the ability to go from a blank sheet to a workable, defensible model without existing infrastructure
  • A record of structuring ambiguous problems and solving them independently or in collaboration
  • Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to executives and senior leaders and influencing decisions
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and persuasively in writing
  • Track record of seeking feedback and building new skills
  • Experience evaluating tools, processes, and ways of working with a systems and operations lens is a plus
  • B2B SaaS or fintech experience is a plus
  • Experience with BI tools or SQL is a plus

Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO), wellbeing days, paid holidays, and summer Fridays
  • Mental health resources
  • Paid parental leave & backup care
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
