If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

As the Director of Growth Marketing, you will own the end-to-end performance marketing strategy for the Americas (US, Canada, and LATAM) — defining how we acquire customers at scale. You'll lead the vision and execution for a multi-million dollar performance media portfolio focused on lower-funnel acquisition, translating company growth ambitions into channel strategy, measurement infrastructure, and organizational capability. Brand and upper-funnel media sit within the Global Brand organization, so you'll partner closely across that line to keep growth and brand working as one system.

Reporting to the VP, Americas Marketing & Global Brand, you'll shape the direction of how Remitly competes for customers in a crowded performance landscape — whether that means evolving our measurement approach, expanding into new channels, or building the team and tooling to move faster. You'll lead through influence, aligning cross-functional partners across Brand, Creative, Analytics, Product, and Finance around a shared growth architecture.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3+ days working out of our Seattle, WA headquarters.

You Will:

  • Define and Lead Strategy: Author the Americas performance marketing strategy, owning the lower-funnel channel mix, budget architecture, and acquisition targets. as a direct input to company growth planning.
  • Build the Measurement Foundation: Establish the frameworks, tooling, and organizational fluency needed to operate at the frontier of attribution, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling.
  • Drive Executional Excellence: Ensure the team executes with rigor across pacing, forecasting, and reallocation — maintaining efficiency guardrails while scaling aggressively.
  • Develop Organizational Capability: Lead and grow a team of media buyers and marketing managers, setting the operating rhythms, talent bar, and culture of accountability that make the function world-class.
  • Influence Product and Creative Direction: Partner with Product and Creative to ensure performance insights shape what gets built and how it gets messaged — pushing for features and creative systems that unlock scale.
  • Operate AI-Natively: Champion the use of AI-powered tools and agentic workflows to accelerate creative iteration, audience research, and performance analysis across the growth org.
  • Communicate with Executive Impact: Translate performance signals into strategic narratives for senior and executive stakeholders — highlighting risk, opportunity, and the decisions needed to stay ahead.

You Have:

  • Experience: 10+ years in performance or growth marketing, with a proven track record of leading high-impact acquisition programs in tech, fintech, or e-commerce.
  • Management: 5+ years leading and developing high-performing marketing teams, with a track record of building strong talent pipelines and a culture of accountability.
  • Strategic Ownership: Demonstrated ability to define the strategic direction for a significant marketing function that influences company-level growth targets and competitive positioning.
  • Budget Mastery: Proven expertise managing large-scale, multi-million dollar media budgets with full accountability for efficiency and outcome.
  • Complexity and Ambiguity: Expert ability to bring structure and clarity to undefined problem spaces — whether that's a new channel, a broken measurement model, or an evolving competitive landscape.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multi-quarter plans independently with minimal executive oversight.
  • Influence: Advanced expertise in driving cross-functional alignment and marketing strategy without direct authority.
  • Technical Literacy: Fluency in leveraging data-driven insights, modern measurement frameworks, and AI tools to inform strategy and measure impact at scale.
