Clinigen is seeking an experienced global People leader to lead Total Rewards and the operational infrastructure behind an effective employee experience.

In this role, you will shape global compensation, benefits and incentive programs while also leading People Operations, HR systems, payroll governance, workforce data and reporting. You will help create a simpler, more scalable model that equips leaders with reliable insights and enables employees and managers to navigate core People processes effectively.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who can connect strategy, systems, data and disciplined execution.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute Clinigen’s global Total Rewards strategy.
  • Lead global compensation, benefits, recognition, mobility and annual reward processes.
  • Support executive compensation, incentive design and Remuneration Committee activity.
  • Lead People Operations and improve core employee lifecycle processes and service delivery.
  • Own the People systems roadmap, including HRIS implementation, integration, optimization, controls and adoption.
  • Expand employee and manager self-service and automate high-volume processes.
  • Establish workforce data standards and improve data quality across systems and processes.
  • Create executive dashboards and recurring reporting that turn workforce data into clear business insights.
  • Partner with Finance on headcount, organizational and people-cost reporting.
  • Provide governance and oversight for global payroll controls, providers, issue resolution and compliance.
  • Lead and develop a team spanning Rewards and People Operations.
  • Partner across HR, Finance, IT, Legal and the business to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Requirements

What You Will Bring

  • Progressive leadership experience in global Total Rewards, including compensation, benefits and incentive programs.
  • Meaningful experience in People Operations, HRIS or HR technology transformation.
  • Experience building workforce reporting, dashboards and data-governance practices.
  • Working knowledge of multi-country payroll governance and vendor oversight.
  • Strong executive presence, business judgment and financial acumen.
  • A track record of simplifying processes, strengthening controls and improving user experience.
  • The ability to move from strategy to detailed execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder-management and team-leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or healthcare-services experience.
  • Private equity-backed, public-company or transformation experience.
  • Experience supporting global growth, M&A or integration.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing a modern global HR platform and its connected reporting ecosystem.

Why Join Clinigen?

You will have the opportunity to shape a broad, high-impact global capability rather than manage a narrow functional remit. The role connects how employees are rewarded, how People services are delivered, how systems enable work and how workforce information informs business decisions.

For a leader who enjoys building, simplifying and creating visible enterprise value, this is an opportunity to help define the next chapter of Clinigen’s People function.

So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)

  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
