Job Description:
Vertex Inc. is seeking an exceptional and experienced E-Invoicing Business Operations & Enablement Director to play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our global e-invoicing strategy. This high-impact role will serve as the right hand to the Principal of Global E-Invoicing Solutions, driving operational excellence, cross-functional coordination, partner enablement, and strategic execution of initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep e-invoicing and global tax technology expertise, a proven track record in business operations leadership, exceptional communication and program management skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of the E-Invoicing Line of Business (LOB), ensuring alignment across tax research, sales, product, marketing, professional services and general overview of cross functional activities.
- Act as a bridge between strategic planning and execution across cross-functional teams.
- Monitor special initiatives including market expansion programs, pricing strategy pilots, and alliance partner solution readiness.
- Support executive presentations, board materials, and investor-facing updates on the E-Invoicing LOB.
- Supports the launch of the global enablement framework to onboard internal teams, alliance partners, and implementation resources.
- Champions internal education and awareness of e-invoicing regulatory trends, platform differentiators, and strategic positioning.
Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of experience in tax technology, e-invoicing compliance, and digital transformation programs.
- Proven experience operationalizing or enabling global e-invoicing and tax technology programs.
- Deep knowledge of e-invoicing mandates, platforms, and regulatory environments across Europe, LATAM, and Asia.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional program or business operations leadership.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and their integration into tax/e-invoicing workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and driving clarity across global teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track KPIs progress, and course correct as needed.
Self-starter with a passion for solving complex operational challenges and driving business scale
