Fusion Worldwide is seeking a Director of E-Commerce Product to lead the vision, roadmap, and product execution for our global e-commerce platform. This role defines what we build next and why—translating business needs into clear product requirements and leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences.

You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to drive the platform forward with a clear focus on usability, scalability, and measurable business value. We’re looking for a pragmatic, detail-oriented product leader who can synthesize complex requirements, prioritize effectively, and guide the evolution of a high-performance B2B digital platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Partner closely with the e-commerce technical lead on delivery planning, timelines, and release execution
  • Collaborate with Marketing on traffic and revenue growth strategies, user journeys, and conversion optimization
  • Lead UX direction, including navigation, user flows, and front-end experience
  • Oversee integrations across ERP, pricing, inventory, CRM, PIM, and other internal/external systems
  • Manage third-party vendors and platforms
  • Use analytics, experiment frameworks, and customer insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Communicate product plans, decisions, and progress to executive leadership

This is a product leadership role—focused on vision, prioritization, UX, and platform evolution.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years in e-commerce, product management, or digital platform leadership
  • Experience launching and scaling B2B e-commerce or complex transactional platforms
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodology
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into product roadmaps and user-centric experiences
  • Ability to increase digital revenues through e-Commerce
  • Deep familiarity with UX best practices, experimentation, analytics, and digital optimization
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience leading product managers, business analysts, or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in B2B distribution, electronics, or complex supply-chain environments
  • Experience with ERP/OMS integrations (Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP)
  • Familiarity with analytics tools like GA4, Amplitude, Power BI
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and related product management systems
  • Understanding of SEO and digital performance optimization

Success in This Role Looks Like:

  • Clarity and alignment around a multi-quarter e-commerce roadmap
  • Year over year increase in revenues coming in through the e-Commerce website
  • Measurable improvements in UX, site performance, and platform capabilities
  • Smooth, predictable collaboration across Marketing, Ops, Development, and Data
  • On-time delivery of high-impact digital enhancements
  • A platform that reliably scales with the business

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
