Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) is focused on staying at the forefront of digital innovation through data and analytics. Our aim is to tap into the capabilities of scalable data ecosystems, AI-powered analytics, to support exceptional decision-making and operational efficiency.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Data & Analytics, you will be the strategic and transformative leader responsible for crafting and performing world-class data & analytics capabilities. You will enable Gen AI strategy, and lead a strong analytics team. Your expertise will ensure data quality and governance while encouraging a collaborative and innovative environment.

You will also champion robust change‑management practices and apply deep functional expertise in Supply Chain or Commercial operations to ensure analytics solutions deliver measurable, domain‑specific business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement AIG’s data & analytics strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Position AI and generative models as core enablers of data-driven products.
  • Champion structured change management plans to embed a data culture across functional domains.
  • Engage senior collaborators to ensure business alignment and sustained adoption of data-driven solutions.
  • Coordinate the delivery of data products, dashboards, and self-service capabilities.
  • Drive the design and implementation of a semantic layer on the enterprise data platform.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams for scalable integration of semantic models.
  • Spearhead the deployment of advanced AI/ML tools across business-critical workflows.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, platform leadership, and technology innovation; 5+ years in a people management role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure data stack and BI tools.
