You create and deploy future-proof brand strategies that are grounded in deep consumer insight, data-driven and digitally integrated to ensure profitable business growth and which lead to brand excellence and innovation.
How you will contribute
You will lead the brand acceleration team and the brand community to create and implement the brand architecture and portfolio strategy including brand-led innovation strategies to elevate brand excellence. In this role, you will develop brand communications and execute multi-market strategic campaigns; create and implement brand-growth and strategic plans that include identifying white space opportunities and cross/new categories strategies; and create global visual identity guidelines and definitions. In addition, you will lead brand design initiatives (including packaging); effectively manage creative agency, media and digital partner relationships; and work with the media and digital team to recommend and implement digital strategies that include step-changing eCommerce brand plans. You will also refine and communicate best practices, winning strategies, key consumer insights, fast-adapt opportunities, and identify "where to play" and "how to play" to feed into the brand led innovation strategy and develop winning bundles of strategic innovation across multiple markets.
Strategy Development: Develop data-based insights and strategies to grow Mondelez categories
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to drive business impact (both long term and short term). Leverage data and analytics to pursue category captaincies and drive the end-to-end conversations with the retailer that influence growth across the omni shopper path to purchase.
Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive omnichannel market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights as needed; leverage data analytics to provide actionable insights. Own and deliver reporting for Mondelez sales partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Category Leadership, Planning, RGM, and Marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution of category plans and alignment with business goals.
Senior Stakeholder Management: Act as key thought partner to senior stakeholders within Mondelez and externally.
Performance Monitoring: Proactively measure both Category performance and KPIs and metrics to measure category performance

  • Leadership experience in creating and deploying effective brand strategies of a global scope and impact for billion-dollar brands/categories

  • Managing and growing brands over the long term in varying economic environments

  • Profit and loss responsibility at a leadership level

  • Understanding of digital marketing plans and pivoting them to meet ever-changing consumer demands

  • Marketing transformation and change management

  • Cultural awareness and the professional maturity to effectively work across markets

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics etc.). MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in category management within the CPG industry across retail channels. Solid understanding of the retail marketplace. Omnichannel experience preferred.

  • 3+ years in a managerial role or with experience leading teams.

  • Proven track record of business results, captaincies gained, shelf space gained that resulted in business and category growth.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and communication skills and strong executive presence.

  • Track record of influencing cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Leadership experience with a passion for developing talent and building effective teams.

The base salary range for this position is $141,000 to $246,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
