About the role: 

Enova is seeking a Director of Consumer Strategy to help shape the future of our consumer lending business. Reporting to the President of Consumer Lending, this role will drive strategic initiatives across our core consumer brands—including CashNetUSA, NetCredit Installment, and NetCredit Line of Credit.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, portfolio economics, analytics, and execution. You will identify growth opportunities, evaluate product and market expansion decisions, and partner with cross-functional teams to bring those strategies to life. You will work closely with leaders across Product Management, Strategy & Operations, Marketing, Technology, and Analytics to ensure Enova continues to deliver innovative financial solutions and improved customer outcomes in a regulated environment. 

The ideal candidate combines strategic judgment, analytical rigor, and operational leadership, with experience in consumer lending, fintech or other highly regulated financial services businesses.

Responsibilities:

Drive Consumer Business Strategy

  • Partner with the President of Consumer Lending to evolve the long-term strategy for Enova’s consumer brands, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and competitive differentiation.
  • Develop and evaluate strategic initiatives including new product opportunities, customer acquisition strategies, channel expansion, and portfolio growth.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable business plans, decision frameworks, and measurable outcomes.

Identify and Execute Growth Opportunities

  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and emerging fintech innovations to inform business strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, conversion, retention, monetization, and lifetime value across CashNetUSA and NetCredit products.
  • Evaluate potential new products, partnerships, or market expansions.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to assess business tradeoffs across growth, profitability, risk, and customer experience.

Lead High-Impact Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that drive business performance, such as pricing optimization, product innovation, new feature launches, and operational improvements.
  • Structure ambiguous business problems, develop hypotheses, and use data to inform recommendations and prioritization.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are translated into execution plans with clear owners, milestones, risks, and success metrics.

Partner Across the Organization

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to leaders across Product, Marketing, Analytics, Tech, Risk, and Operations.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders on key priorities and ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively.
  • Influence senior leadership through clear, practical recommendations grounded in data, business context, and execution feasibility.

Deliver Executive Insights

  • Develop executive-level analyses, business cases, dashboards, and presentations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate business insights, opportunities, and performance trends to senior leadership.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and ensure strategies are delivering measurable impact.

Requirements:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, fintech,  financial services, or related fields.
  • Significant experience in consumer lending, consumer finance, credit, or adjacent financial products; fintech experience strongly preferred..
  • Strong understanding of business strategy, customer economics, growth drivers, and performance management in a consumer or financial-services context.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into strategic insights and practical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable business impact.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues into clear narratives for senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions and build alignment in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Compensation:

The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $190,000 to $240,000. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the range shown. Additional compensation for this role may include a bonus and restricted stock units. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Company benefits, described in more detail here.1
