We’re looking for a strategic, creative, sports-obsessed and hands-on Director of Community Management & Social Media to lead our efforts across three critical lanes: Social Content, Live Game-Time Activation, and Community Growth & Engagement. You’ll drive how PrizePicks shows up across social platforms, in fan conversations, and during the most important moments in sports.
You’ll lead a nimble team responsible for social storytelling, content creation, community engagement, and the kind of bold, viral moments that make PrizePicks impossible to ignore. From NFL primetime to NBA tip-off, you’ll bring our brand to life at the speed of sports—activating cultural conversations, fueling gameplay, and connecting fans through our platform to make PrizePicks the most exciting and talked-about brand in sports gaming.
What you’ll do:Social Content & Storytelling- Own the vision and execution of platform-native content across Instagram, X, TikTok, Discord, and other existing and emerging platforms
- Build a repeatable, editorialized content system—balancing evergreen storytelling, product features, cultural sports narratives, and user highlights
- Collaborate with Creative & agency partners to concept and produce content series, campaign extensions, social-first explainers, partner activations, and behind-the-scenes moments
- Prioritize quality and craft, with a sharp eye for what’s thumb-stopping, informative, and emotionally resonant
- Manage the content calendar and coordinate across teams to support key marketing and promotional initiatives
- Be the play-caller during live sport actions, from NFL Sundays to NBA primetime, to every day sports moments—leading real-time social output across X, Instagram, Discord, TikTok and more
- Build a system for live game coverage—anticipating player narratives, prepping templates, and coordinating team shifts for peak hours
- Create timely, high-impact content that feels fast and on-brand—whether it’s celebrating user wins, reacting to player performances, or amplifying product moments
- Partner with Product and LiveOps to spotlight in-app moments and sports/athlete milestones in an ownable and unique fashion
- Establish escalation protocols and decision trees to ensure quick but thoughtful coverage during high-stakes windows
- Build a thriving fan community across Discord, Instagram, X, and beyond
- Develop community initiatives that reward loyalty, spark conversation, and create connection between users and the brand
- Moderate, engage, and respond with clarity, wit, and a brand-safe voice—ensuring every interaction builds trust and fandom
- Partner with CRM, Support, CI and Product teams to close feedback loops and make sure users feel heard. Develop social intelligence reporting to organizationally elevate the voice of the customer and drive actionable insights to influencer impact organizationally wide.
- Explore and activate opportunities for superfans, community ambassadors, or UGC programs to elevate real voices
- 8–10+ years of experience leading social media, content, or community teams—preferably in sports, gaming, media, or culturally driven consumer brands
- Deep fluency in NFL and NBA—including league narratives, player storylines, game schedules, and fan culture
- Comfortable leading during live events, managing real-time publishing, and reacting with speed and accuracy
- Editorial thinker with strong instincts around visual storytelling, content formats, and tone of voice
- Experienced people leader who can inspire a team and roll up your sleeves when needed
- Familiar with Discord, social analytics, scheduling tools, and modern production workflows
- Passionate about creating content that fans care about and building brand equity that lasts
