The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the leadership team as the Director of Client Services for RIS Life Products. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the service delivery for complex private placement corporate owned life insurance plans managed by MetLife's Specialized Benefit Resources (SBR) line of business. This role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with business goals. The director will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.

The expected salary range for this position is $130,000- $175,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the leadership team as the Director of Client Services for RIS Life Products. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the service delivery for complex private placement corporate owned life insurance plans managed by MetLife's Specialized Benefit Resources (SBR) line of business. This role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with business goals. The director will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead team of client executives and servicing specialists who serve as the primary point of contact with sophisticated banks and insurance company clients.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on product and servicing matters related to corporate owned, bank owned life insurance, stable value wraps and alternative assets (COLI/BOLI).
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to onboard, service, and support clients, including matter related to tax and insurance law.
- Oversee client servicing operations for complex product implementations such as 1035 exchanges, absolute assignments, and policy issuance for private placement life insurance with stable value wraps and alternative investment options.
- Participates in customer/prospect meetings, as needed, to aid in the positioning of the products and service.
- Oversee the execution of client servicing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify and implement initiatives that enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
- Use data-driven insights to evaluate team performance and client satisfaction and guide both decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- FINRA Series 6.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in client servicing, preferably within COLI and BOLI.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to develop talent.
- Expertise in private placement variable life insurance (PPVL), stable value wraps and alternative investment separate accounts within life insurance structures.
- Knowledgeable in a wide array of life insurance, tax, securities, systems and regulatory matters.
- Understanding of underwriting, pricing, illustrations, and policy issuance workflows for PPVL products.
