Position Overview:
The Alliance Business Development role is pivotal to our go-to-market strategy. This individual will identify, cultivate, and manage high-impact partnerships that accelerate revenue through indirect channels. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the logistics tech ecosystem, a successful track record in building partner pipelines, and the ability to lead strategic conversations with industry stakeholders.
This role is remote, with over 50% travel expected for partner engagement, industry events, and strategic meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic alliance opportunities with technology vendors, resellers, and ecosystem partners in the logistics and transportation space that complement MasterMind.
  • Evaluate partnership potential based on strategic fit, market overlap, and revenue opportunity.
  • Own and grow a high-performance partner sales pipeline, consistently achieving or exceeding channel revenue targets.
  • Lead negotiations and execute partnership agreements that align with Mastery's business strategy, legal requirements, and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, and leadership teams to drive alignment on partner programs and joint go-to-market efforts.
  • Represent Mastery at industry trade shows, conferences, and partner events, serving as an ambassador of our brand and platform.
  • Track and report on partnership KPIs, delivering actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor movements to inform strategy and strengthen our position in the market.

Required Qualifications:
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of logistics and transportation technology, including market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer pain points.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in building and managing channel sales pipelines and meeting performance goals.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Strong experience negotiating complex partnership deals, including SLAs, revenue-sharing models, and joint marketing strategies.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willing and able to travel 50%+ for in-person engagements.
  • Relationship Management: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze data, measure results, and optimize partnership performance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Product Strategy Insight: Familiarity with product development lifecycles, go-to-market planning, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Technical Fluency: Basic understanding of technical integrations and tools (e.g., SQL, Python) to support collaboration with product and engineering teams.
  • Sales/Sales Engineering Background: Experience in SaaS sales, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales is highly desirable.

Estimated Compensation:
$100,000 - $130,000 base salary per annum, plus commission (commensurate with experience and ability)
