Berklee is seeking a collaborative and visionary leader to serve as the Director of Accessibility Resources for Students (ARS)—a key member of the Student Success leadership team dedicated to fostering a community where every student can thrive.

The Director leads a dynamic team that empowers students with disabilities and advances equity, inclusion, and innovation across Berklee’s global campuses. This role ensures that all students—regardless of ability—have the resources, support, and access needed to reach their full creative and academic potential.

Key Responsibilities
The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Berklee’s Accessibility Resources for Students (ARS) team, which includes the MIND Neurodiversity Program, Academic Coaching, Accommodated Testing, Assistive Technology, and Alternate Format services. In this role, the Director will:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for accessibility that aligns with Berklee’s mission, Accessibility Framework, and Student Success priorities.
  • Supervise a dedicated team of seven staff members and oversee student employees.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA and Section 504 regulations and serve as Berklee’s Section 504 Coordinator.
  • Partner with faculty, staff, and students to promote universal design and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Oversee programs and services across all Berklee campuses, including Boston, Valencia, and NYC.
  • Manage budgets, assess program effectiveness, and lead professional development initiatives.
  • Represent Berklee in regional and national professional networks related to accessibility and disability services.

What Berklee is Looking For
The ideal candidate brings expertise in higher education accessibility, leadership experience, and a passion for empowering students to succeed in a creative learning environment. They have:

  • A master’s degree in Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting the disability community.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA and Section 504, and best practices in higher education accessibility.
  • Proven success in supervising staff and leading mission-driven initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • (Preferred) Experience in arts education and/or supporting neurodivergent students.

Hiring Range: $92,000 to $108,000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
