How you will make an impact:
- Support audience growth goals through earning references, citations and backlinks to Insurify in key digital media outlets
- Curate media and contact lists for our key target audience cohorts, including key media outlets such as major publications, national and regional news media
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists and editors at these key media outlets, understanding their interests and how our data, content, studies and reports can resonate with them and their audiences
- Regularly review successes and opportunities for improvements to build an experimentation program designed to test, learn, and optimize all input processes that drive towards our outreach and audience growth goals
- Work to keep on top of key media trends and breaking news
- Play a key role in creating a proactive content strategy that drives media attention and builds authority
- Analyze competitor content and successes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage the digital PR strategy for topics including auto and homeownership in relation to insurance
- Own outreach campaigns from ideation of data content to pitching to reporting
- Mentor and support junior team members to help them incrementally improve and grow
- Come up with new reactive and proactive digital pr strategies that make Insurify the go to source for all insurance insight
- Find opportunities to align our proprietary data and insights with the new cycle.
Who you are:
- A self-starter who is comfortable using data in storytelling
- A minimum of 4 years of combined writing, data analysis or digital PR experience
- You already understand how links and mentions make an impact on SEO and LLMs
- You have experience mentoring, supporting or managing junior team members in their day-to-day PR activities
- You are excited and have experience about brainstorming new data-driven content ideas
- You are always looking for incremental ways to improve whatever you and the greater team are working on
- You love writing and have strong communication skills
- You understand how to adapt communication styles for the situation
- You are an analytical person who dives deep to understand the “why” behind questions
- You are a detailed-oriented person who takes time to understand what will engage your audience
- You are understand how to tailor pitches that support the story a journalist wants to tell
- You have experience reporting on and presenting campaign performance to non-SEO and PR team members and leaders
- You have used Buzzstream or a similar technology to pitch and manage campaigns
- You have a portfolio of media wins that demonstrate your ability to work with journalists
- You have experience media training/writing media briefs for in-house experts prior to interviews
- You value representing data and insights in a way that engage journalists but keep the data defensible
