That’s why we’re excited to introduce our first Digital Marketing Internship Program, a 12-week, fully remote experience where interns work alongside seasoned marketers and contribute to real projects tied to a growing financial services brand.
This internship is designed for individuals who want more than surface-level exposure. You’ll take on meaningful work, learn how marketing operates within a regulated industry, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. We are in building mode and are looking to add team members to our small, but powerful marketing team who get excited about the challenge of taking a new idea and turning it into a fully functioning reality.
The Internship at a GlanceThis is a 12-week, fully remote internship designed to provide hands-on experience within one core marketing discipline at Neighbors Bank.
- Timeline: May 27 – August 12
- Time Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week
- Structure: Interns are aligned to a specific marketing track and work directly with the specialist or channel manager who owns that function.
- Compensation: $20/hr
This internship is best suited for individuals who already have some professional or remote experience and are comfortable taking ownership of their work in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities, supported through mentorship, and expected to contribute in meaningful ways. If you are the first person to raise your hand to take on a challenge you see, this opportunity is for you.
Available Internship Tracks
Digital Marketing Interns at Neighbors Bank are aligned to one primary marketing discipline, where they’ll work closely with the specialist or channel manager who owns that function. This allows you to go deeper, build real skills, and contribute meaningfully – rather than bouncing between unrelated tasks.
Candidates may apply for one or more of the following focus areas:
- PR (Public Relations)
- Support brand awareness and reputation through media research, pitching assistance, and thought leadership support.
- Potential Projects: Localized media campaigns, research support for press outreach.
- SEO / Content
- Help improve how our content performs by supporting blog optimization, keyword research, content planning, and performance tracking.
- Potential Projects: Owning content pillars, AIO tracking, supporting our Reddit strategy.
- Social Media (Organic)
- Create and support organic social content while monitoring trends and engaging with our audience.
- Potential Projects: Video creation, script writing, content scheduling.
- Social Media Advertising
- Assist with paid social initiatives, including creative testing, audience targeting, and performance reporting.
- Potential Projects: Ad creation, A/B testing, exploring new platforms.
- PPC (Pay-Per-Click)
- Support search advertising efforts through keyword research, campaign monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Potential Projects: Campaign optimization support, performance reporting.
Your day-to-day work will depend on your assigned marketing focus area, but all interns can expect to be actively involved in real initiatives that support the team’s goals.
You may be responsible for:
- Supporting campaign planning and execution within your assigned marketing discipline
- Creating, editing, or organizing content and creative assets
- Conducting research and summarizing insights to help inform decisions
- Tracking and reporting on basic performance metrics
- Collaborating with a small, cross-functional marketing team
- Learning how marketing operates within a regulated financial services environment
This work is hands-on and outcome-focused. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of tasks, ask questions when needed, and follow through – while receiving guidance and feedback from experienced marketers along the way. Don’t be surprised if you help launch a new marketing channel or initiative from scratch during your time at Neighbors.

What We Expect From YouThis internship is best suited for individuals who are comfortable working independently in a remote environment and taking ownership of their work.
You’ll likely be a strong fit if:
- You’ve spent 6+ months working remotely in a marketing-related role or capacity
- You’ve completed at least one marketing-related certification or structured course (formal or self-directed), which will be discussed during the interview process
- Familiarity and comfort using AI-enabled tools, and a willingness to use them thoughtfully as part of everyday work (for research, writing, analysis, or efficiency).
- You communicate clearly, follow through, and manage your time well
- You’re naturally curious and willing to ask thoughtful questions (we call this a +1 mentality)
- You take accountability seriously – even for small details
- Financial services doesn’t bore you, and helping people reach homeownership genuinely matters to you
College enrollment is not required.

As a Digital Marketing Intern at Neighbors Bank, you can expect:

- Experience collaborating and sharing ideas during our weekly Level 10 marketing meetings
Our goal is for you to leave this internship with stronger skills, greater confidence, and a clear understanding of how marketing functions inside a growing, regulated business.
Growth OpportunityThis is a 12-week internship. At the conclusion of the program, high-performing interns may be considered for part-time or full-time roles, depending on mutual fit and business needs.
While there is no guaranteed placement, we view this internship as an opportunity to identify and develop future talent. Interns who demonstrate strong ownership, curiosity, and follow-through will leave with meaningful experience – and, in some cases, a path forward with Neighbors Bank.
