Owns paid-media ad trafficking and serving operations, including creative setup, placement structures, rotation, tagging, pixel implementation, QA, and launch readiness. Monitors delivery across ad servers, buying platforms, and publishers; investigates discrepancies and resolves technical issues. Maintains trafficking documentation, ad-serving hygiene, vendor operations, reporting, and invoice validation while coordinating with marketing technology, web teams, publishers, agencies, and vendors.
*This position is remote/work from home. You need to reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zones (Atlanta is preferred). If you live near any of the office locations listed, the role will be hybrid.
The Digital Marketing / Communications Specialist II owns ad serving and trafficking operations for paid media. This role traffics creative and tags into the ad server and buying platforms, manages creative rotation and weighting across flights, and resolves delivery and impression discrepancies between the ad server, publishers, and buying platforms. Every paid media campaign depends on this work being correct before launch and monitored after it.
As ad serving moves in-house, this role is accountable for ad-serving hygiene and for the operational discipline behind the ad-serving vendor investment: clean placement structures, accurate tag implementation, retired trafficking sheets, and reconciled delivery counts. Specialist II coordinates with the Activation Senior Specialist on launch sequencing, with Marketing Technology and web teams on site tag implementation, and with publishers and ad-serving vendors on technical troubleshooting.

USD 61,100.00 - 91,700.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $61,100.00 - $91,700.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. What You'll Do
Creative Trafficking & Ad Serving
- Traffics display, video, native, and rich media creative into the ad server and buying platforms, verifying specifications, click-through URLs, and third-party tag integrity.
- Builds and maintains ad server placement structures, creative assignments, and ad associations aligned to campaign taxonomy and naming standards.
- Manages creative rotation and weighting across flights, executing scheduled swaps, sequencing, and dayparting as directed by the campaign plan.
- Generates and distributes trafficking sheets and ad tags to publishers and confirms correct implementation prior to launch.
- Retrieves, versions, and stores creative assets so the correct materials are in market at all times.
Tag & Pixel Management
- Implements and validates conversion pixels, floodlight tags, and event tracking in coordination with Marketing Technology and web teams.
- Audits tag placement across landing pages and site templates, identifying missing, duplicated, or misfiring tags.
- Maintains tag documentation mapping each tag to its campaign, conversion event, and owner.
- Coordinates tag requests with third-party vendors including verification, rich media, and measurement partners.
Delivery Troubleshooting & Discrepancy Resolution
- Monitors delivery across ad servers, buying platforms, and publisher reporting, identifying impression, click, and conversion discrepancies.
- Investigates and resolves discrepancies with publishers, platforms, and ad-serving vendors, documenting root cause and resolution.
- Troubleshoots creative rendering, latency, and serving failures and executes corrective trafficking changes.
- Escalates unresolved technical issues with a clear summary of the investigation completed to date.
- Tracks recurring discrepancy patterns by publisher or platform and surface them for commercial follow-up.
Ad-Serving Hygiene & Vendor Operations
- Owns ad-serving hygiene including retirement of completed placements, archiving of inactive creative, and removal of orphaned tags.
- Monitors ad-serving impression consumption against the contracted vendor commitment and flags pacing variances.
- Supports invoice validation for ad-serving costs by reconciling served impressions against vendor reporting.
- Maintains ad-serving configuration documentation including user access, naming standards, and trafficking procedures.
- Executes quality assurance checks covering rendering, click-through function, tracking, and creative accuracy before every launch.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Pulls ad server delivery reporting and provides served impression, click, and rotation data to support campaign reporting.
- Coordinates with the Activation Sr Specialist and respective teams on logistics, execution, and metrics for each launch.
- Designs and develops trafficking status views giving the team visibility into what is built, what is pending, and what is blocked.
- Stays current on ad serving standards, creative formats, privacy and signal-loss developments affecting tag-based measurement.

Who You Are
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field.
- Hands-on ad trafficking experience in an ad server such as Campaign Manager 360, or comparable third-party ad serving experience.
- Experience resolving delivery and impression discrepancies with publishers or platforms.
- Experience working with agencies, publishers, and vendors on technical troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail; treats trafficking accuracy as non-negotiable and catches errors before they reach market.
- Problem solving; works discrepancies methodically to root cause rather than stopping at the symptom.
- Process discipline; follows and documents trafficking procedures consistently.
- Communication; explains technical issues clearly to marketing partners and vendors.
- Focuses on execution; manages concurrent trafficking requests against firm launch deadlines.
- Proficiency with an ad server such as Campaign Manager 360 and familiarity with third-party ad servers and rich media vendors.
- Working knowledge of ad tags, pixel creation and implementation, and macro and cache-buster conventions.
- Understanding of online ad serving concepts and metrics including CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS, viewability, and video completion rate.
- Familiarity with online creative formats including HTML5, video, and rich media, and with their platform specifications.
- Working knowledge of DV360 or comparable demand-side platforms and self-serve social buying platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project management platforms such as Monday.com.
