Digital Content Designer
As a digital content designer for CVS Health, you draw from skills and experience across the domains of UX writing, product design, and content strategy. You understand the importance of thoughtfully planned and tightly crafted content as a foundation for a good design. As a champion for our users, you know how to align with their journey, organizing and presenting content in a meaningful and supportive way. As part of an end-to-end digital team working across lines of business, You will collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
To be successful, you’ll need to translate complex concepts and processes into conversational content that’s easy to understand. You will be expected to own your feature work and solve business challenges with occasional direct support from your manager.
Responsibilities
- Optimize content for multiple channels, devices and touch points across user journeys, meeting user needs and adhering to enterprise standards.
- Champion data science and UX research to understand user behaviors, uncover new opportunities to reach customers, and reduce friction.
- Challenge the status quo and know when to advocate for new design patterns versus relying on old systems.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, accessibility experts and diverse business stakeholders to inform requirements and shape positive member experiences
- Develop user stories and provide guidance on content priorities.
- Own content reviews and iterations across stakeholders from product to legal.
- Ensure proper usage of voice and tone
- Add content directly to wireframes in Figma, other design tools or publishing systems as needed (or other design tools).
- Participate in content design workshops
Required Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in UX writing, UX design or content strategy
- 2+ years’ experience with Agile and lean UX/software development practices, including using product management software (Rally, Jira)
- 2+ years’ experience with mobile app and mobile web products
- 2+ years’ experience collaborating with internal team members (experience designers, accessibility experts, product owners, engineers)
- 2+ years’ experience with UX wireframing, UX flows, and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects with prototyping software such as Figma and Miro
- Experience in pharmacy, health care or other regulated fields (insurance, finance, etc.)
- Knowledge of enterprise content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager or similar
- Portfolio should include work on mobile apps, digital products and/or services, service design or human-centered designs
- Experience with analyzing usability testing, A/B testing, analytics and other key performance metrics
- Experience in shaping content by working with cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a large organization or at an enterprise level
- Experience or exposure to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and writing for grade level and other regulatory constraints
- Experience working with usability testing, taxonomy, design systems, content management systems, information architects and accessibility SMEs
- Experience updating existing content to new guidelines
Education
- Bachelor’s or master's degree preferred in the fields of Human Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, Technical Writing, English or Journalism. Extensive work experience, academic work or certifications in user experience fields are also welcome.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
