SUMMARY:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for the preparation, presentation, delivery, and serving of food to all patients, staff, and guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and understand the importance of following all health and sanitary precautions needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:- Maintain the appearance of work areas, food service areas and dining areas orderly and in accordance with sanitation, and safety standards.
- Serve meals.
- Restock dining areas of on-hand items, like beverages, condiments, etc.
- Assist with food preparation, food storage, and food transportation.
- Follow all Gosnold dietary standards.
- The Dietary Aide may be required to work at any Gosnold facility.
- Follow Gosnold and departmental policies regarding professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Complete all required mandatory training.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Prior dietary and food service experience, preferably in a healthcare or institutional facility.
- Skills: Ability to provide respectable and courteous service to all patients, staff, and guests. Ability to bend, stoop, lift (up to 50 lbs.), stand and move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid MA driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
