SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday – Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm, occasional weekends and holidays; Thanksgiving- New Year’s travel/time off blackout

Pay: $22.04 - $25.75 per hour DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Development Coordinator performs a wide variety of professional, administrative and staff support tasks. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Major and Planned Giving and work closely with the Major and Planned Giving team. Responsibilities will include general office support, responding to major and planned giving donor inquiries, working with major donors, and organizing mailings and small donor events. Additionally, this position prepares communication materials for meetings or presentations, assists the team with data entry and research support, conducts tours of Pine Street, and supports the Manager of Stewardship on all InnCouncil activities.  

Requirements

 EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of previous development or non-profit management experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Customer service oriented, “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to seek help and clarification around workload and prioritizing competing demands.
  • Ability to work in a changing and busy team environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough and exceptionally organized.
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Technical and process improvement orientation.
  • Commitment to the mission of Pine Street Inn.

PREFERRED:

  • Flexibility, high energy, tenacity, team-orientation and a sense of humor.
  • Proficiency in NXT.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES/SKILLS: 

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to utilize a PC, phone, fax and copier.
  • Ability to climb two flights of stairs.
  • Ability to travel by car or public transportation in metropolitan Boston area for Pine Street Inn site visits, special events,      and other meetings or trainings as assigned.
