Rive is looking for a technical support engineer with experience supporting mobile applications to join our Developer Technical Lead team.
As our team expands you’ll support a growing global community of developers and designers using Rive in their products and games across a myriad of platforms and use cases. You will triage technical issues for a wide range of end users from individual designers to enterprise customers.

You’ll work alongside team members who are passionate about Rive, and learn from companies who are using Rive in innovative and challenging ways to build incredible products, games and experiences.
What you'll do
- Provide technical support resources to the Rive community around a variety of general and specific product use cases and questions.
- Triage issues reported by customers and the community across all of our various runtimes, troubleshooting the root cause across browser, network, and code.
- Review customer Rive code and determine whether their issues are with the code written, or something on our end.
- Assist new and existing customers with implementing their designs into code. If a customer wants to build a app with Rive we provide simple code example to help them get where they're trying to go.
- Work closely with our DevRelations team, helping create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to create a positive experience for developers, whether they are beginners or experienced Rive customers.
- Assist in proactively preparing to support new features, devices, game engines, popular frontend frameworks, and more.
- Relay feedback to the product and engineering teams to resolve bugs.
What you will bring
- Knowledge of multiple programming languages ( JavaScript, Swift, Flutter, Kotlin, Java, or C#)
- Prior experience troubleshooting mobile applications (especially Android) and runtime code, resolving complex technical issues using analytical and methodical approaches.
- Proficiency in working across browser, networking, cloud, and operating system issues to determine root causes.
- Experience with SaaS design or developer tooling products, including their architecture, deployment, and common technical issues.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, including how to integrate, test, and troubleshoot API-related issues.
- Proven ability to manage responses and work through multiple concurrent issues in a timely manner.
- Prior experience answering “how to” questions from a technical community.
- Participation in developer communities and ecosystems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to solve issues, knowing when to and where to reach out for assistance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
- The curiosity to understand how things work, tenacity to solve problems, and empathy to delight customers.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience using Rive! It is a huge plus if you already know the product.
- Experience using CRM and support ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Salesforce) for tracking and managing customer interactions.
- Examples of written content (i.e: personal blog, documentation, other).
Location: Remote (Europe, N. America time zones preferred) with the ability to work through late morning U.S. Pacific time.
Compensation and benefits: We offer a remote work environment, comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage as well as stock options. Salary range $100-135k. Compensation may depend on the level of experience and geographic location.
