The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Marketing Data Analyst to join our growing FP&A team. This entry-level position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Marketing and Finance Analytics and is perfect for an early-career professional looking to apply their technical skills at the intersection of finance and marketing. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our existing marketing reporting infrastructure while gaining valuable experience in financial analysis and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis: Perform basic SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze marketing and financial data from various databases

Dashboard Management: Assist in updating and troubleshooting Tableau visualizations and reports for Finance leadership and marketing stakeholders

Financial Reporting: Support the creation of marketing ROI reports, budget variance analysis, and campaign financial performance tracking

Data Quality: Monitor data integrity and flag any anomalies or inconsistencies in marketing and financial datasets

Support Senior Manager: Assist the Senior Manager of Marketing and Finance Analytics with daily responsibilities and priority projects

Maintain Marketing Reports: Support the ongoing maintenance and quality assurance of existing marketing dashboards and automated reports used by Finance and Marketing teams

Budget Support: Assist with marketing budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis as part of the FP&A process

Documentation: Help document data processes, report specifications, and analytical methodologies used by the Finance team

Ad-hoc Analysis: Support with basic data pulls and preliminary analysis for finance and marketing initiatives

Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions and gradually take on more complex financial and analytical projects

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field
  • SQL: Foundational SQL skills including SELECT statements, JOINs, basic aggregations, and filtering
  • Machine Learning: Basic understanding of ML concepts and experience with at least one ML framework (Python/scikit-learn, R, etc.)
  • Tableau: Entry-level experience creating basic charts, filters, and dashboards in Tableau
  • Database Knowledge: Understanding of relational database concepts and experience working with structured data
  • Financial Modeling: Basic Excel/spreadsheet skills for simple financial calculations and modeling
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Communication: Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

Base Compensation Range

$61,000 - $77,000 annually

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
