We are looking for a highly technical Developer Relations Engineer who is passionate about blockchain development and interoperability. This role is not just about engaging with the community—it’s about building, teaching, and supporting developers in integrating ZetaChain’s technology into their projects. You will be hands-on with Solidity, and other smart contract languages, creating technical content, supporting developer teams, and growing the ZetaChain ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Developer Engagement & Advocacy
    • Build relationships with developers and projects to help them successfully integrate ZetaChain.
    • Provide hands-on technical support to teams building universal applications on ZetaChain.
    • Manage and engage in developer communities (Discord, GitHub, X, Telegram) by answering questions, sharing insights, and gathering feedback.
    • Focus on outreach and content, with about 70% “relational” work (e.g., community engagement) and 30% coding.
  • Technical Content & Education
    • Write deep-dive blog posts, tutorials, and technical documentation to guide developers in building cross-chain applications.
    • Conduct live coding sessions, workshops, and webinars to onboard new developers.
  • Hackathons, Bounties & Developer Acceleration
    • Organize online hackathons and developer bounties to foster innovation.
    • Support early-stage projects building on ZetaChain through mentorship and funding initiatives.
    • Design challenge tracks for developer events, ensuring they align with ZetaChain’s strategic goals.
  • Ecosystem & Tooling Support
    • Collaborate with external service providers to improve the developer experience on ZetaChain.
    • Work closely with the engineering team to provide developer feedback and improve ZetaChain’s protocol and tools.

What You Bring

  • Strong Technical Background
    • Proficiency in Solidity (required), with experience writing and deploying smart contracts.
    • Familiarity with TypeScript, Rust and Move (optional).
    • Experience working with blockchain node infrastructure, RPCs, and cross-chain messaging.
  • Developer Relations & Community Building
    • Experience in DevRel, Developer Advocacy, or Technical Education.
    • Experience managing developer communities and providing technical support.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
  • Startup & Ecosystem Growth Mindset
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
    • Excited about interoperability, cross-chain development, and universal apps.
    • Passion for open-source projects and contributing to the blockchain ecosystem.
  • Travel Requirements
    • This position requires frequent travel to attend conferences, hackathons, and developer events globally.
    • Must be eligible to travel to the US without a VISA.
    • Candidates based in San Francisco (SF) or New York City (NYC) will be prioritized, but we are open to exceptional candidates from other locations.

Compensation

Base Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 (San Francisco benchmark)
This range reflects base salaries for roles in the San Francisco market. For candidates in other locations, compensation is adjusted to remain competitive within their local market.

In addition to the base salary, all full-time team members receive an additional 10% to 25% in liquid benefits with upside based on role, experience, and impact. We believe in building together and sharing in the long-term success of the network. Compensation packages are designed to be competitive and aligned with the growth of both the team and the ecosystem.
