Working at the intersection of sales, strategy, finance, legal, and customer engagement, you'll partner with customers, executives, and cross-functional leaders around the world to solve complex business challenges, craft innovative commercial solutions, and negotiate high-impact agreements.

The Impact You'll Have

Every day looks different. One day you may be helping a global enterprise transform their technology strategy. The next, you may be leading a complex negotiation, collaborating with executives across Microsoft, or designing a first-of-its-kind commercial solution. Through it all, you'll help customers unlock the full value of Microsoft technology while driving meaningful business impact at a global scale.


  • Shape some of Microsoft's most strategic customer investments by designing creative commercial solutions that help organizations achieve more with Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and emerging technologies.

  • Partner with customers and senior business leaders to understand their priorities, solve complex challenges, and create agreements that deliver meaningful value for both customers and Microsoft.

  • Lead high-impact negotiations by developing innovative pricing, licensing, and commercial strategies that accelerate customer success while supporting long-term business growth.

  • Operate as a trusted advisor to sales teams, executives, legal, finance, operations, and engineering stakeholders, bringing people together to drive alignment and achieve shared outcomes.

  • Leverage data, market insights, and business acumen to identify growth opportunities, shape deal strategy, and influence critical investment decisions.

  • Drive customer-centric outcomes by understanding industry trends, customer goals, and competitive dynamics to develop solutions that unlock new opportunities and accelerate digital transformation.

  • Balance innovation, growth, and risk by making thoughtful business decisions that protect customer trust, ensure operational excellence, and support Microsoft's long-term success.

  • Identify opportunities others may miss by connecting customer needs with Microsoft capabilities and recommending creative approaches that expand value, consumption, and adoption.

  • Champion continuous improvement by sharing insights, best practices, and lessons learned that strengthen Microsoft's commercial strategy and enhance how we serve customers globally.

  • Enable responsible and compliant deal-making by partnering closely with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to navigate complex negotiations with integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 6+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR equivalent experience 
  • 6+ Years of relevant experience in Sales, Complex Commercial Deal Structuring OR Negotiations OR Cross-Functional Influence OR Strategic Deal Advisory OR equivalent experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of sales and negotiation experience 
  • Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 6+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field or related field AND 8+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR equivalent experience.

Commercial Deal Making IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $107,600 - $187,500 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,600 - $205,600 per year.
