Why this role?
We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Deal Desk Specialist to join our Corporate Strategy team. At Snyk, the Deal Desk is more than a transactional function; it is a strategic partner to the business. This role acts as the critical link between Sales, Finance, and Legal, ensuring our most complex, high-value commercial agreements are structured to maximize profitability while maintaining compliance and speed.
The Strategy Team ModelOur team is built on a "generalist" profile—looking for individuals who are hungry, humble, and smart. We treat the Deal Desk as a foundation for deep institutional knowledge and actively support professional development and internal mobility. Team members often move across Deal Desk, Strategic Analytics, Pricing, and Strategic Planning to develop the expansive internal networks and business acumen necessary to eventually lead in functions such as FP&A, RevOps, or Product Operations.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Deal Structuring: Serve as a consultant for the Sales organization on complex and non-standard transactions. You will model commercial proposals and pricing exceptions, providing data-driven recommendations that balance customer needs with company goals.
Financial & Compliance Governance: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sales policies and pricing guidelines. Ensure deal structures adhere to US GAAP/IFRS revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and internal booking policies.
Deal Desk Initiative: Maintain a focus on continuous improvement within the Deal Desk function. You will streamline approval workflows, reduce cycle times, and utilize AI-driven process improvements to increase overall sales efficiency and accuracy.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, and Sales leadership to facilitate smooth deal execution and resolve commercial roadblocks.
What You Bring:
Experience: Up to 5 years of experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Finance, FP&A, or Pricing role. Experience within a B2B SaaS or subscription-based environment is preferred.
Analytical Skillset: Strong financial modeling skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. You should be comfortable using data to influence decision-making.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce.com and hands-on experience with CPQ systems (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, Apttus).
Financial Acumen: Working knowledge of software revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 or equivalent).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
It’d Be Awesome If You Also…
Generalist Mindset: You enjoy solving a variety of business problems and are eager to learn different facets of the organization.
Effective Communication: The ability to translate complex financial or legal constraints into actionable advice for Sales partners.
Operational Drive: A commitment to the Deal Desk team’s success and the initiative to optimize how we support the broader organization through modern tools and methodologies.
