At the highest level, the Deal Desk operates as a critical ally to sales, legal, finance, and support, functioning as a core team within the company accountable for preparing, endorsing, or rejecting deals. The team contributes to enhancing deal framework and supports the sales and renewal processes by liaising with the pertinent departments to facilitate deal approval. Deal Desk Specialists focus on identifying automation and technological efficiencies and understand what triggers Deal Desk involvement and where key decision-makers exist within the sales process.

A Day in the Life

  • Facilitates contracting process, ensuring contracts pass required check-points/gates through to signing

  • Work with Legal through redline processes and discussions​

  • Ensure accuracy of contract line data within CRM or other systems​

  • Coordinating periodic audits to support Internal processes (e.g., license counts)​

  • Ensure contracts follow delegation of authority — correct parties sign-off on contracts and legally enforceable​

  • Gets the customer to Issue PO

About You

  • Able to process large amounts of information quickly and accurately​

  • Demonstrated ability to understand & interpret business financials (revenue, billings, costs)​

  • Collaborative and easily foster strong relationships to navigate cross-functional teams​

  • Highly communicative: can clearly express needs and actions to a range of personalities, personas, teams ​

  • Sales support, customer services, and/or contracts administration experience

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $60,000 to $75,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
