Chewy is looking for an Data Governance Analyst based in our Dania Beach, FL or Boston, MA office. In this role, you will help bring data transparency, improved data quality and adherence to data compliance for one of the fastest growing e-commerce platforms!

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and review test cases to maximize potential for automated test execution
  • Actively participate in the scoping, design and development of metrics to detect data anomalies by partnering with business stakeholders 
  • Work with business teams and data operations to resolve data quality anomalies 
  • Engage with data stewards to institionalize data knowledge in Chewy’s enterprise data catalog.  Drive data catalog adoption through out the organization
  • Drive data privacy and security awareness through multiple channels of communication
  • Partner with IT to incorporate data governance principles from design through system release
  • Assess and evaluate new tools to support data governance


What You’ll Need:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • 3-5 years as a  Data Governance Analyst, Quality Engineer/Analyst or Software Engineer
  • 3-5 years of experience working with QA toolsets or enterprise data catalogs
  • 3-5 years of experience in SQL with ability to query databases independently to uncover data anomolies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with RDBS, SQL and Splunk
  • Minimal travel

Bonus (if applicable):

  • Knowledge of Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence)
  • Experience with Alation
  • Familiarity with current and pending data privacy regulations
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and/or Vertica
