Description
The Senior Research Scientist participates in research study design, analysis and interpretation of results, with special emphasis on statistical and analytical plan development; data acquisition, preparation, and management; statistical analysis and interpretation of findings. The Senior Research Scientist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Research Scientist develops an understanding of complex number systems, proves theorems, and applies mathematical, statistical and epidemiologic principles to identify trends, variable associations, and cause-effect relationships in data sets. Participates in the preparation of comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results, including technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses. Participates in publication of study results in peer reviewed publications and presentation of the same appropriate conferences an forums. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 or more years of technical experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Statistical Sciences, Health Economics and Outcomes Research or related field.
- Experience in the field of Health Outcomes Research, Health Economics Research or Pharmaceutical outcomes research.
