Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a hands-on, data focused, and relentless individual to join our New Verticals group as a Senior Merchandising Analytics Manager in our Boston, MA office. Our new Verticals team has been established to discover and design our next big leap forward as a company into services: 

• The team is growing and if you are equally passionate about building great service experiences, using technology to transform people’s life experiences, and thinking beyond big, you’ll fit right in. 
• You will have accountability for experimental design and execution as well as deep analytical expertise. 
• This will be a highly cross functional role, including leaders in Product Management, Engineering, Design, Vendor Management, Fulfillment, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance and more. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Design experiments to improve service satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Design experiments to drive conversion of service customers to product sales & vice versa 
• Identify opportunities for business model optimization (across all KPIs) 
• Work with Data Science teams to build customized recommendation engine 
• Identify key segmentation criteria and define target customers 
• Execute experiments to improve service satisfaction 
• Execute experiments to drive conversion of service customers to product sales & vice versa 
• Build constant test and control dashboards to confirm consistent service levels 
• Build constant test and control dashboards to track key business metrics 

What You'll Need: 

• You’ve got the basics of data science down pat and you keep up with the latest advanced analytical trends. 
• You’ve directly executed large-scale projects at a startup or within a new team at a large corporation 
• You love to travel (sometimes) 
• You’re a strong critical thinker & are comfortable regularly interacting with senior stakeholders 
• You have a Bachelor’s degree (Business and STEM are most applicable) & a few years of professional work experience. 
• Position may require travel
