RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and implement innovative analytical solutions using Cloud Native, Big Data, and NoSQL technologies
• Design Cloud solutions using best in the class data frameworks
• Work with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and evaluate new features to help drive decisions
• Build collaborative partnerships with architects and other functional groups
• Perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments to design quality technical solutions
• Participate in code review and test solutions to ensure it meets best practice specifications
• Foster a high-performance engineering culture while mentoring team members and providing them with the tools and motivation

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience programming with Python, Java or Scala and developing within modern Big Data environments
• Ability to design, automate & deploy scalable fault tolerant systems
• Hands on working with the Azure Cloud-Native stack such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps Services, Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Strong understanding of the Big Data stack such as Spark Core, Spark SQL, Spark ML, Kafka and Spark Streaming
• Knowledge of SQL optimization and relational algebra, SQL queries, stored procedures and relational schemas
• Familiar with Azure Storage, Networking, Identity and Security
• History working with Data Modeling, Big Data Processing, Database Architecture and Data Analysis
• Comfortable building data ingestion pipelines by simulating Extract, Transform & Load workload
• Exposure to CI/CD principles, best practices, Various Development Methods and Version Control Systems such as GIT
• Enjoys an analytical approach to problem solving in an agile environment
