Quantitative Consultant
SUMMARY
MassMutual is seeking a Quantitative Consultant in the Institutional Solutions Actuarial Department. The Institutional Businesses are undergoing growth and represent a key component of the company’s business strategy. The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include to support the credited rate setting across all of our stable value solutions, and managing the contract termination calculations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions of this individual contributor role include:
- Determine new business and in-force crediting rates for all stable value contracts
- Calculate market value adjustment factors, and other values pertaining to contract termination
- Perform Fair Value calculations
- Perform annuity rate calculations
- Build new stable value contracts onto administration systems
- Analyze and summarize data for both new business and in-force underwriting
- Maintain databases used for ongoing product management
- Support analysis for other Institutional Solutions products as needed (e.g. Pension Risk Transfer, Funding Agreements, etc.)
- Continual process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree Required in Finance, Math, Actuarial Science or Related Field
- Strong Excel skills
- Takes ownership and is results-oriented
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Strong organization skills, and attention to detail
- Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities
- Ability to support complex analyses
- Ability to identify solutions that effectively address business needs

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledgeable in aspects of institutional products a plus
- Actuarial exams passed or actuarial modeling skills a plus
- VBA a plus
