The Opportunity

 

As the Marketing analytics developer, you will be prototyping and building data architecture that combines multiple marketing data sources, to enable a data foundation that supports marketing analytics, various marketing stakeholders to make data driven decisions based on a high quality and automated data environment. You will be working across various data warehouses to prototype marketing datamarts, which will enable new insights to drive customer and producer experience, improve marketing reporting efficiency, as well as influence marketing data strategy and its integration with enterprise data strategy.

 

 

The Team

This position is under the Data Foundation & Journey Analytics team, which acts as the liaison between marketing and enterprise data/IT teams. The team is part of the Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights group, which aims to drive growth and opportunities across the organization with brand analytics, marketing technology, insights and customer engagement.

 

The Impact (what your days & weeks will include):

  • Work with Marketing Technology, enterprise IT as well as enterprise data engineering teams to prototype data warehouse ETL flows that enable data integration between Marketing Applications and the enterprise data environment.
  • Prototype Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) ETL UAT/QA environment and integrate with enterprise data warehouse UAT process.
  • Build campaign data extensions within SFMC and provide data integration requirements for SFMC sendlogs to enterprise data warehouse. Design and build ETL logics for marketing campaign performance attribution
  • Work with the Marketing Technology team to provide ETL prototypes, data dictionaries(both SFTP and API) for new Marketing applications that are integrated with enterprise data architecture.
  • Design and build ETL data prototypes for complex data modeling that support cross sell, up sell, customer journey, producer journey across multiple data warehouses including on prem systems (Teradata, MS SQL, IBM DB2, Oracles) as well as the Cloud environment.
  • Work with the enterprise IT team to prototype new data flows through Informatica
  • Lead and enable digital marketing data ingestions including social media marketing and email marketing data
  • Build and automate social media marketing user maturity data ETL, enhance user maturity model which measures producer social media marketing behavior maturity
  • Deliver concise, clear and actionable presentations to decision-makers
  • Communicate data in a storytelling format, engage your audience and influence them to take actions

 

The skills that make you a great fit:

 

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Informatics, Information Systems and Technologies, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the areas of ETL/Data warehousing, analytics or analytical data engineering
  • Very familiar with multiple data warehouse environments including MS SQL server, IBM DB2, Oracle, Vertica, ETL tools such as Jenkins, and understanding of data lineage tools such as Informatica.
  • Highly experienced with data integration design for marketing application in SFMC, email marketing tools and social media marketing tools
  • Experience in data architecture prototyping for campaign attribution model, marketing cross-sell model as well as customer journey data models.
  • Proven statistical/mathematical and analytical skills, familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy, hands-on experience with R or Python
  • High proficiency in SQL or SQL like languages
  • Ability to use advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles/methodologies and techniques to improve business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills that enable clear and concise presentation of data issues and analyses that can be understood by a broad audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

 

The Ideal Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working in both insurance and financial industry
  • Proven data modeling experience, solid knowledge in different data modeling types such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Galaxy schema to build marketing data assets
  • Experience working in Jira environment, team sharing tools as well as code repositories such as Confluence, Bitbucket, Github
  • Proven experience with complex statistical predictive modeling, strong story telling skills to deliver actionable insights.
  • Ability to lead end to end vendor data ingestion process (sftp and API)
